He also said the trademark is weak. I wonder how solid Hardee's tademark of "Have a good meal." is.

Probably not very. Open a edible shroom stand, and use it, then tell us if you get in trouble.

The end.
washingtonpost.com Fox News Drops Lawsuit Against Al Franken
The Associated Press Monday, August 25, 2003; 4:56 PM
NEW YORK - Fox News dropped its lawsuit against Al Franken on Monday, three days after a federal judge refused to block the liberal humorist from using the Fox slogan "Fair and Balanced" on the cover of his latest book.
Fox said it filed papers in federal court to withdraw the suit, which sought unspecified damages from Franken and Penguin Group, publisher of "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right."
"It's time to return Al Franken to the obscurity that he's normally accustomed to," Fox News spokeswoman Irena Steffen said.
On Friday, U.S. District Judge Denny Chin denied Fox's request for an injunction against the book cover.
Fox trademarked "Fair and Balanced" in 1998.
A call to Floyd Abrams, the lawyer who represented Franken and the publisher in the case, was not immediately returned.
No more.

what you left out (of course) was the judges scathing remarks about the frivolity of the entire suit.

Holy crap you're a fool.
"I" left out nothing. It's a direct word for word cut and paste.
Or are you too dishonest to have even clicked on the link?

well, since I heard about his yesterday on msnbc, no, I didn't read you link. the thing is that the quote from the judge is the only bit that makes the story worth regurgitating... but, I know, you like to just spew.

That's exactly why I hate Fox News so much. It's not even because they are right leaning.Instead of just reporting the facts, the always add stupid little comments and shit. They are totally unprofessional. If a left leaning news do the same thing,I would be bitching about it.
Yeah you dumb fucks, call Al Franken obscure and sue him and give him added publicity.
