If you don’t do opiate regularly enough then you aren’t a junkie, okay. Anyway my stoner friend and I got into an argument today and he called me a “junkie bastard!” and I sort of had enough of it so I punched him square in the face and watched him collapse on the floor with blood running from his nose. I ain’t a fucking junkie! Never was! Never will be!  . I know a lot of my posts are junkie related...that's because I live near a white trash community and a methadone clinic
I never call people stoners, crackheads or methheads. I hate junkies…they’re worthless scum who’d do anything for a fix. They'll even kill their mother and father for some scant grains of heroin dust. I am fed up with everyone calling me a ‘junkie’ just because I smoked opium, drank poppy pods and did an assortment of opiates pills. I don't do heroin, even though, I have some connections. That doesn’t count as being a junkie. In my book, to be a fucking junkie, one must regularly do opiates at least every day otherwise they aren’t a junkie but a recreational drug user with problems. I’ll be somewhat honest with you guys; I am bit of obsessed with junkies and opiates. Though I am not a junkie. People think I aspire to be a future junkie, but I don’t at all. I haven’t done opiate in about 7 months and even then, I only did it maybe once or twice a week…that’s not often enough to be considered a junkie. I do like the obsessive amassment of pipes, tinfoil, spoons, candles, lamps and other opium smoking paraphernalia. I do grow dozens if not hundreds of opium poppies but only for decoration purposes and of course tea. I don’t want pity or anything… 
I want to know whom you guys would consider a junkie?

Junkie is just a negative word for someone who is addicted to drugs (I usually imagine needles). Stop worrying about it, and try not to hit your friends.

I'm not a junkie I grow hundreds of pods and have an obsessive amassment of pipes, tinfoil, spoons, candles, lamps and other opium smoking paraphernalia because I'm really, really interested in junkies. But I really fucking hate those scumbags. Or something like that

I would of done the same thing as you

And there's a large difference from a junkie and someone who just like opiates, where I come from you either have a drug of choice or don't, some weed, some psychedelics,some even tobbacco
Mine is opiates, and although i do them a lot, I'd still never be a junkie:)

A junkie is someone who is physically or mentally addicted to opiates or any form of opioid including opium and heroin. A fiend is anyone who is mentally addicted to any form or speed including meth and amphetamine. Anyways...moving on.

Nah man, doesn't work that way. I'm an alcoholic, I don't steal, lie, I didn't lose anything because of the fact that I'm an alcoholic, but I can't go a day without having a drink in the evening.
There is no consequence to my habit but that still makes me an alcoholic.
You're a junkie. Deal with it. If you don't want to be a junkie, stop doing opiates.

I've stopped drinking alcohol for small lengths of time, that doesn't mean I'm not still an alcoholic, I had every intent to continue drinking after I took a break, mostly because I had run the fuck out of money.

I think the real questions are...
How often in a given 7-day time period are you taking an opiate?
Can you go a week or two without an opiate fix of any sort(as in HAVE YOU RECENTLY DONE THIS)?
IT seems you talk about opiates a lot, so if you do them as often as you talk about them then yes, you're a junkie. There are successful junkies.
Just becuase you don't steal to get your fix (Since it seems you grow it yourself) doesn't mean you aren't addicted. A Drug addiction that you wish not to change is what my definition for a junkie means. Addiction defined as doing a harmful substance way toooooooooo much. Opiates once in a while is probably fine, but if out of a given 30 day time period you're taking 30 doses of opiates (maybe you do two-a-days?) that's way too much and you're a junkie.
Junkie doesn't mean "I IV heroin!"
Junkie means you do it all the time. That if you stopped cold you would withdraw.
You really wouldn't be defensive if you truly felt you weren't.
That's like punching someone in the face for calling you gay when you downright know you aren't. So why the hostility? Maybe you don't really know?
You keep playing around saying junkies only IV.
Depending on your LEGITIMATE answers to these questions, I don't know if you're a junkie. But upon answering really reflect.
The human body is not meant to dose external opiates daily.

They were actually security guards and I had an adrenaline rush so that explains why I said something so idiotic...I wish I hadn't though  . I got away cause I'm a fast runner and the 8ft wall led me to the road so I could easily get away.

I'm an alcoholic/junkie and I haven't shot dope in over 30 years. Funny thing, I just spent a week in the hospital after some type of seizure, biting part of my tongue off, falling down multiple times, bruises on both feet, back, arms, face, cut on my head, plus vomiting, diarrhea, sweats, chills, and some pretty wild psychosis for about a week. I wasn't even drinking that much.(I couldn't keep anything down)
After 6 or 7 days of this hell, this thick , clear shit started oozing up out of one of my molars that lost it's filling. I'm talking more than 60 ml. over the course of 4 or 5 hours, but no pain or swelling.: Off to the ER I go.
They put me on 2 or 3 days of heavy Ativan doses, and 7 days of constant IV antibiotics, nutrients, various pills...
Day 4 I get a minor gout attack in my wrist(hot, swelling, pain) and the nurse asks if I'd like a Percocet. I didn't really need one, but I took one when ever offered. Wasn't nodding or anything, just a happy little buzz.
Here's where the junkie comes in. After 2 days I would 'palm' every other one so I could eat 2 at once. Only did it a few times and then I was released from the Hosp.
Turns out I had a serious infection that was starting to spread throughout my body. That shit caused all those symptoms. I even hallucinated that the ER was a MMJ Dispensary 
Once a junkie, always a junkie,(but not necessarily an addict)... . . .
