Now my question is, what does it do to growing when the fruiting temp is higher than 78?
I've seen it do a few things.
If you cold shock and initiate pinning, then introduce to warmer temp: - Your pins that have started usually stall/abort, or flush small fruits - I've also seen overlay that looked like it was from moisture. - Pins might be small, then produce really small wet mushy fruits.
This is all just from my experience in trying different temps with creeper and tak mtn, These were also on casings not pf tek.

as it is... what is the optimum fruiting temperature for cubensis strains? afoaf colonizes @ 85 degrees F.
I hear that 70 F is where it should be; but to contradict that statement I also heard that 75 F fruits faster, as 85 F colonizes faster then 80 F....
??? thoughts ??? suggesstions ???

some strains will fruit in the high 80f's and they will grow faster but it depends on the strain you will be growing but for a guide line don't go higher then 78f

the faq doesn't really explain the fruiting temp though. It does say that optimum incubating/colonizing temp is 80-86, and then whenever it discussed fruiting temp like this: fruiting temp: 74-78 degrees Now my question is, what does it do to growing when the fruiting temp is higher than 78? Pretend i have my jars incubating at 80-85, then I cold shock them, and then i fruit them back at 80-85 degrees. is that bad for the cake? I'm wondering because my closet all by itself gets temps around 79-86, and thats where i planned to have my fruiting phase be. Do i need to somehow cool it down?? point to where it talks about that in the faq, cuz i couldn't find it.

Man, I successfully fruited penis envy, malabar coast, and some other cube strain in 95+ temp . (my room got way hot in NC summer with no AC, they were also in protein powder jars for camoflauge from unwante peeps, it got even hotter inside the plastic protein powder jars) I'm sure they endure 100 degree temps at some points... Not extremely successful fruits, except for the malabar casing. It was in a large rubbermaid container with humidifier tube going in.
