We're all just trying to make our own way, if it wasn't Gumby it'd be some other guy doin' that shit. Everyone likes to take a moral high ground because it's easy but if they were sitting on a job offer of ~1,500 a week they'd take it too. Almost everyone would. Almost everyone does work for an evil corporation at some point anyway. How many work for the US Government? Millions. Why? Great fucking benefits. That's the name of the game. And in this economy where hiring has been shit for a while now? Take the job, get the experience, maybe move to brighter pastures in a few years or so. Good luck mang.
I agree. I always trust and hope that people are doing what's best for themselves even if I don't agree with it. Especially when it comes to friends and family it's very important to be supportive no matter what and trust that they are following their heart and doing what they feel is best for themselves. I'm not saying that you shouldn't share your opinion if you believe someone is really fucking up but at the end of the day we need to be there for each other and offer support no matter what.

Dude...
You should lose your modship for this...
Yeah, I know trolling is broadly tolerated on this forum when it doesn't go over into flaming but technically it IS against the rules.

Newbie and I were talking about Monsanto last night I just wanted to see what the general Shroomery reaction would be if I did actually work for them. While I am not working there, I have actually applied to 3 jobs there doing exactly what I said I was doing. Monsanto has a surprising amount of jobs available and amazing benefits. I figures hey, I might be working for the devil if I get the job, but the way the economy is a job's a job and it would be good job security.

If someone offers you $1500/week in the sciences, I'd strongly advise you to take it. That's a ton of money.

How is taking a job when you really need the work "selling your soul"?
Its better than being a fucking bum or being severely underpaid.

I would rather be underpaid than help genetically modify (and cancerfy) food. That's just me though.
