Tolerance Breaks and the Night Sweats 1

So, does anybody else wake up with profuse sweating during tolerance breaks from Cannabis? I've been smoking pretty much daily since I came to college, and every time I take a tolerance break, I find the worst symptom is waking up in the middle of the night completely soaked (even my hair is wet sometimes). I've noticed this just about every time I take a break, as well as all the traditional symptoms (eg, irritability, little appetite, insomnia, and mid-night waking).
So, does anyone else here on Shroomery experience this symptom? I get the feeling some individuals have to deal with it, while others get by experiencing only the traditional symptoms. Also, does anyone know a legitimate biological reason this occurs beyond simply saying "it's your body re-adjusting"?

Back when i was a heavy smoker, any time I would take the smallest of breaks, i would experience this. Very annoying for visits back home to the parents house or for family vacations.
Other than that, just the first night or two - then its gone.

Ive been smoking for years, and anytime i stop.. the hardest of symptoms was probably just boredom or maybe it takes a little longer to fall asleep. I guess it affects everyone differently though

It's called withdrawal. I've experience it too after heavy smoking. It's anxiety that's manifested through physical symptoms.

Completely normal bro. I had the exact same problems when I stopped smoking for a while. The worst of them being anxiety :p It goes away in a few weeks. Take some 5-HTP if it's unbearable...

I never get any tolerance to cannabis. The same minute quantity sufficiently inebriates me every day.

Same thing for me to. It only takes a little for me to get stoned, and I smoke pretty frequently at the least once a day. It's actually a good thing until you smoke with a friend who can take 5 bowls and still be barely high. I think alot of it though, is that alot of people don't get the most out of their thc and breath out the smoke 2 seconds later. I think once yiu breath in the smoke it's active for 16 seconds, which is how you get the most outta your smoke.

Same with me. I can just stop and it's like nothing changed.
Except like you said, boredom.

As far as I understand, holding a hit in for longer than 7-10 seconds is simply not absorbing enough additional THC out of the smoke to make the Oxygen deprivation worth it. As far as I know, many studies back this up.

Oh really? Of course I knew it was withdrawal my friend. Your hypothesis that the sweats are manifestations of anxiety is interesting though, but I'm not sure I 100% agree.

This has something to do with reverse tolerance perhaps?

I smoked all last summer and then ran out of weed and had very intense dreams almost every night. Many times they were so real and vivid they'd freak me out and wake me up.

I smoked spice all through high school and weed daily for the last four years, just quit four months ago for probation. No night sweats, sorry man that sucks, but the irritability and other symptoms were so bad that I'm not sure I want to go back after pro. Good Vbes your way.

It's not that I'm butthurt lol, it just seemed to me that it was obvious that I knew it was withdrawal, but I wanted info on a particular symptom of said withdrawal which only seems to affect certain people. Not upset or anything, just playing with you a bit.

Damn. Just last night I had my first remember-able dream since I started this tolerance break, and I still didn't find it as vivid as you seemed to find yours. It's cool that you get the instant vividness though.

I read a complex book on circadian polyporphisms, rem phase and particularly cannabis. When you cut back there is a specific rem reaction from what was a previously supressed rem action. Probably more pronounced with heavy 420 addicts like us!

I woke up in a puddle of sweat last night, I haven't smoked in 2 days
Whoever says withdrawl isn't real is a retard because this happens every time I quit

I don't know about withdrawal, but I know I'd have to go back to life before daily cannabis use, witch was allot of insomnia. No thanks. The irritability to me is not so much withdrawal, it is more just how life is/was without cannabis.
