Nice specimen
    #1847731 - 08/25/03 09:49 AM (13 years, 3 months ago)

Found a really nice specimen yesterday in my sister's garden. It was growing on an old log, and simply too beautiful not to shoot some pics of and post them here. I didn't have the oppotrunity to study it further, so the only details I have are in the pics. I haven't taken a shot at iding it yet, but if someone'd like to, be my guest.

Thanks for the id, I'm at home now, so I'm gonna look her up in my books. Thanks for the compliment GGreatOne234, I really doubted this week if I should buy a digicam or not, but decided against it; my father agreed to give me his 10+-year-old Canon EOS 1000F which I'm really in love with

Kewl, I looked it up in my guide, and indeed it fits the description and the photo very well. Actually, in this shape, it's an f. rostkovii. It's also edible, which I didn't know, but did suspect. But it's too beautiful to pick...
