how many dry grams can i expect?

i want the most at once.

should i just use the cake method or the casing method.

i have 10 cakes. how many grams would i expect? just around.

depends on how well your experiment turns out. Play it by ear, no use in guessing how much you'll get, when you will eventually find out.

Have patience, and just worry about getting a few mushrooms, rather than exactly how much you will get.

There are to many variables to estimate really. If you go with the PF Tek you can expect to get 6-10 dry from each cake generally. This is just an estimate though, and as I said their are many things that will effect it.

you cant predect that, but assuming eiter way you try it you are moderatly successful, I can garuntee the casing will produce more than the cakes...but really, harvest prediction questions should be banished from these boards...

just stick to cakes till you learn the ropes of growing...you may get anywhere from 0 to 70g dry...don't have any expectations...just let the cakes do their job and accept whatever karma blesses you with...

You should try some casings. The best deal would be fruiting something like 6 cakes and making 2 casings with 2 cakes per casings just to experiment.

Forget about how much dried grams you'll get. Just accept what you have. Personnally, I never had a cake fruiting more than 3 or 4 grams after 3 flushes!! That's why I switched to casings, popcorn spawn, etc...

Trying some casings definately worths it. Keep some cake as a *safe bet* .
