and since when is 150k/year a shit salary. I think they generally make sure their people are well compensated so that they have less incentive to go rogue like Snowden did.
Snowden worked for a private contractor; Booz Allen Hamilton, not the government.

Snowden articles said he made $200,000/yr in salary. This is a lie. His employer, Booz Allen Hamilton, does tons of defense/intelligence contracting - but theres no way he'd be 29 years old and making that salary at that firm.
He was an Associate. Generally speaking, he'd be making between $75K and $110K at that level. Given his clearance (TS/SCI) and knowledgebase (programming at the CIA) he's probably on the upper end of that scale. But i heard that his BILLABLE (i.e. what BAH bills the government for his work) was $120,000... so he was probably getting paid $90Kish.
Incorrect, he worked as the Systems Administrator at one point and specialized in security. He had access to multiple agencies simultaneous and all of them when he left.I'm sure he has one of the highest clearances simply because he can view literally any of the information of his choosing.
A private contractor for the government would easily be paid with his skills over 120k+ and I'm certain I have read that he was making around 200k.

The answer is use your connection 100% always if possible
Then it's a bit harder to monitor, they can't record it all if you got a fast connection (your ISP records you usually, but they dont record all if you have a fast fibre conn)
setup free WIFI hotspots for your neighbors to use (got a few of them)
setup tor relays (share your connection with the world)

Incorrect.
Systems administrator may have been the title for the specific position he was filling under the task order that Booz Allen Hamiltonw as operating under for the NSA, but in reality, his resume said:
Associate Booz Allen Hamilton
Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH) has since come out and said that his billable rate (taht is, the rate BAH bills the government for his services) was $120,000 a year. Since BAH makes money off of their employees talents, they pay Edward Snowden LESS than that. He probably made between $75 and $110K. HE did have the highest level of clearance, TS/SCI (top secret/secret compartmentalized information) but that isn't anything special.
He didnt make $200k. His household income might've been $200k, but him alone? no.

1984 is here already, it's pretty scary
thought control, if your thoughts don't fit into society you must go to the ward (or if you smoke weed, we can't have people find out we lied about drugs, every weed user has a weed psychosis and must be fed toxic drugs in our wards, every weed user is mentally ill) --> another layer of thought control, make people forget who they are via education and tv (focus on the negative stuff in the world and consumerism)
cameras in every bus, every train (several cameras in each), every street almost
monitor of your connection and logging of all packets, incl phone calls they don't fill much, takes 1 second for your isp to see your google queries for past 5 years (often by non security authorized employees)
make it impossible to buy paycards, you have to pay for it with a visa, so they can track your phone and know who you are
send your facebook data, google queries, youtube queries, gmail emails , emails, dns lookups (all websites you visit) to the feds if they suspect you of terrorism , or local police if they suspect you too without warrant(a judge ruled recently)

I thought I remembered reading that he made just under 150k, but it could have been the 120 I saw. Even 90 isn't bad, no matter where you live. And I kind of assumed that there were extracurricular benefits that boosted his actual pay to 200. I mean why would he lie about that? It's not like his credibility or fame are based on his income. It's statements like this that really make me question what is going on here. He said the Triads were out to get him? WTF?? Red Herrings.
Even before this latest scandal hit I thought that there was some coordination behind the leaks. It all started right after the republicans were trying to bring up Benghazi again. The IRS scandal was a perfect diversion. No one has been talking about Benghazi since. And the only logical reaction to the IRS's misconduct, the only solution to the problem, is to not allow any political organization to apply for tax exempt status. Only charity organizations should be able to apply for 501c4. In the 50's the IRS decided that they would interpret the very clear wording of the law to include organizations only partially dedicated to charity. And no one has said anything about it.. until now.
Then we hear that the justice department spied on some journalists, but the justice department was just following their established guidelines. Doing business as usual. Because this story was leaked "business as usual" is being questioned.
The extent to which the patriot act is being used to infiltrate our private lives being questioned again Thanks to Edward Snowden.
Real, lasting, historic change demands a transformation of our broken two party system. That does not necessitate a multiparty system, but does mean drastically redefining what the parties (or party) stand for.
I think the main problem with the current parties is that they contradict themselves ideologically. Republicans claim to be the party of small government, but have no problem with government telling you who you can marry, what to do when you're pregnant, or what you can smoke.
In the beginning we had federalists and anti federalists. There were bitter disagreements, but we got the constitution and the bill of rights from their compromise. We got the best ideas from both sides. A federal government strong enough to unite the states and maintain their unity, defense, and prosperity. And at the same time a historic guarantee of personal freedom.
We need a republican party that is moderately anti federalist, moderately conservative, and strongly civil libertarian. We just have to show them that this is their only hope.
These aren't Obama's policies that are being scandalized. Did you expect him to walk into the oval office and change the way everyone in government did everything? That's not his style. I don't think he believes the executive branch should be as powerful as it is. He wants change to come from the people. To be forced upon congress by the people. Obama is a pragmatic moderate. The ideal politician. No one likes a pragmatist or a moderate. We like loud, passionate, strongly convicted politicians who never waiver. But in reality we need our elected officials to compromise.
This means change won't come easy. Obama wont sign an executive order that solves all of our problems, and fixes our broken government overnight. Change will come of the people, by the people, and for the people.

If you were the US government would you really want this guy to wind up dead? would you really want him to become a martyr? Nothing would prove his point, and rally anti-government sentiments like the mysterious death of Edward Snowden. Their endgame has got to be a trial. Extradition and conviction. Unless my theory is correct and the leaks are part of a larger conspiracy orchestrated by the Obama administration.
My friends think I'm nuts. They say "Obama? really dude? you think he could do all that? you think he would go through that much trouble/make that complex of a plan?" and I say "Fuck yes! He's the fucking president! That's literally all he does, and he has a large team of very smart people to help him do it. They've got contingencies for contingencies. There's no angle they haven't considered."
