Fully colonized or completely contaminated?
    #18456482 - 06/22/13 01:48 PM (11 years, 6 months ago)

Hey guys,

I'm having trouble identifying the status of my mini monotub, could I get a hand?

What variety are you growing there?

Looks like contam to me.  Either it's the poor lighting or it's about to turn green.  I believe I see a shade of green there in the second pic already.

If that's contam, the whole thing is going at once, this contam happened at spawning time or came from the spawn itself.

Hope I'm wrong.

It would appear to me to be none ryzmorphic mycelium.

The variety is Blue Meanies P.Cubensis. Yeah, the lighting is not the best in the picture I apologize. I guess I will be patient and see what happens! I guess it's time to introduce some solid lighting schedules and FAE.

As well, The other monotub definitely got contaminated, so I sprayed both tubs once with a small amount of Hydrogen Peroxide  + Water Mix. That could explain the shade difference as it may not be contaminated and sightly effected by the Hydrogen Peroxide. The mycelium growth appears orange in color. :/

I would guess it's likely just fully colonized and should be put into fruiting.

As far as a contam there is no way to know from the overly pixilated and poorly lighted photos.    Bring them into an area with full lighting and take a picture if you want an accurate answer.  (a better camera would likely help as well if you have access to one)  Until then it's just guesses that you will receive as all that can be seen is a vaguely white blob.

Edit.. An orange color is likely a contamination (or matobolites dependant on what you consider orange)..  Once again get a better shot
