Adjusting full pint jars to half pint measurements.

Alright, to get straight to it. I have a good amount of full pint jars lying around, and I've heard of adjusting them to half pints by putting dry verm at the bottom, (this also helps with them getting compressed). Has anyone ever had to do this, and what did you do in terms of how much dry verm you used? If so, please let me know. Thanks!

Why do you say that? A constant problem with pint jars is compression on the bottom of the jar and stalling. I'm ont to talk though, I have 5 incubating currently, lol. But if theres any more efficient way that would heighten my chances of success I'd wanna use them!

Uneven mixture of verm leads to stalled jars. You're asking for an anaerobic bacteria bloom with verm at the bottom when it eventually starts to suck in moisture.

i have 1 pint jars colonizing right now just fine. In fact they only took 1 week longer than my 1/2 pints and they have wayyyy more rhizo growth. The ones that stalled at like 95 percent at the bottom i flipped and they finished colonizing in about another week.

sorry bro, fell asleep there lol the problem is gravity draws moisture to the bottom compacting the sub, i found ground wbs to be faster and better for pints and also it helps to use more verm in the recipe.other then that try get the innoculent asfar down as you can

I think I'm just gonna keep doing pints until I can get my hands on some half's. The pints I have colonizing now are coming along nicely,
