How Much Manure Should I Inoculate?

After 30 years I decided to try growing mushrooms again. So I built a chamber, bought all of the junk and decided to make a small scale test run to see if I got things right. Now I've got 10 nice half pint jars of B+ on rye and I want to spawn it on some well aged manure.
How much manure should I use?
Since I'll be pasteurizing tomorrow, how much in a pillowcase?
This is all just a small scale experiment right now and I'm asking because most of the stuff I've found here talks about using quarts. My goal is to eventually cultivate outdoors, so I want to experiment with the appropriate techniques.
I plan to pasteurize the manure, get its moisture to field capacity, break (cut?) the spawn into pieces about 1" (should they be bigger or smaller?) and mix the spawn with the manure in a heavy duty black plastic "contractor's" bag. I plan to then tie the bag loosely and let it sit undisturbed in a 75 to 80 degree (right temp range?) room for 10 days to two weeks.
From what I've read here this technique works, or at least it should. I'm interested in it because sounds like an easy way, if scaled up, to grow enough to start an outdoor bed. Are there better ways that wouldn't require a whole lot more work?
Finally, if this does work I doubt I'll try putting it outdoors this year. What can I do with it next -- spread it in a tray and grow it indoors for a nice tiny little harvest? After all of the work I've done to build a setup I'd like to get something out of my first try.

i'd go anywhere from 6-9 qt's of bulk and use trays in a sgfc

Do not spawn into heavy duty trash bags, use plastic storage totes, in the 50-70qt range and make monotubs.
You can use the trash bags to line the tubs, so you cut down significantly on side pinning.
They do not have to be kept in the dark, exposure to ambient/indirect light on a 12/12 is recommended from the start.
You want ambient/indirect light(on a 12/12 schedule preferably) for colonization and consolidation.
You want direct/intense 6500K light on a 12/12 schedule for fruiting.
I also suggest against the pillow case method, use jars or spawn bags(some people use ziplock bags) for pasteurization.
The smaller the spanw will break up, the faster it will colonize, because there will be more inoculation points.
I suggest clicking around in my signature and doing some research on some up to date teks.

As chronic implied, shoot for a spawn/substrate ratio of about 1/4 or a little less for (relatively) guaranteed success.

How many quarts of poo do you want to spawn at once? Imagine a quart, or a quarter of a gallon, spread out in trays. An 8" x 8" x 2" tray holds about 2.2 quarts if you fill it to the brim. So really it depends on how many trays you have, how big your fruiting chamber is, and how big you want this to be. FYI, there are 4 half-pints in a quart.

Break up the pieces with your fingers, and do it much smaller than an inch. Many people shoot for marble-sized. You want to have a lot more points of inoculation than inch-thick chunks will provide.

Yes. Growing inside you get much better results, and you can take your spent substrates and bury them in the yard or in a compost pile.

Define a "tiny little harvest." If you spawn to trays of h-poo, 600 grams wet (combined) isn't unheard of for a first flush. They call it bulk for a reason.

Thanks lots for the ratio, that's what I was looking for.
Do you know if it's the same for wood chips?
