My first batch

First off lemme say I'm new to all things shrooms. I have no experience or knowledge other than what I learned from the "lets grow mushrooms" DVDs. Anyways I decided to grow some. YAY!
Procedure used: Pftek -Followed all directions in the videos. -During inoculation I didn't know how many cc's in each jar so i winged it (roughly 1-2 cc's per jar)
Incubation: Bathroom Window sill behind a frosted glass window on the north west side of the house so no direct sunlight comes in.
I have some questions about how long the mycelium growth should take and also I have a jar showing growth. It is now the close of day 5.

1cc per half pint is what your soppost to use but i don't think a little more will hurt it just a waste 3-5 days normally but can take up to 10(based on research)

Ive had to wait 2-3 weeks just to see growth in the jars. Just be patient. As long as you had sterile procedure you should be good

Alright so I waited patiently, one week in I had a jar with the "Green" crap in it. I threw it out, next week another jar had the same damn thing. I threw that one out too. Now I'm down to two jars. Today I went to check em and my strongest looking jar had a spec of the "Green" shit. I decided to say F' it and I birthed my last two jars a lil early, soaking then right now. Hopefully I'll get at least one to make a print or syringe.

You might get a couple mushrooms rushing out due to contamination, but you run a huge risk of contaminating your whole fruiting area. Plus if its not even fully colonized the mold will probably take over the whole cake before you even get a single fruit.
I would just throw em out and start over or try and fruit them outside. Its not worth risking future grows to try and get one or two fruits.

this is my first grow, so Im trying to salvage as much as I can. I have a fruiting chamber setup and then when I Rinsed and soaked the cakes I made sure to get rid of all traces of green crap

"when I Rinsed and soaked the cakes I made sure to get rid of all traces of green crap"
you can't cut, spray, rinse,or scrape away green mold. The cakes are done for but they might still put out a fruit or two. But again your going to end up (or already have) spread spores all over your workplace. The green means its sporating already. Put them outside if you have to try and get something.
Good luck!

I failed to get more than imperfect mycelium growth. Decided to just throw em under the bushes and hope for the best. But as for the green mold. None showed up again after the birthing, so I say aha! To you :P
