) and I have one jar still colonizing. The jar is approximately 50% colonized and I would like to use it to make rye grain spawn. How can I go about doing this? Can I take the half colonized substrate, crumble it up, and put it in a jar with the rye grain (following normal sterilization procedure)? Do I have to wait for full colonization?
