awareness is a land-mine
    #1845103 - 08/24/03 11:22 AM (13 years, 3 months ago)

more here than i ever have been
things just dont make much sense so I've stopped thinking about 'em.
i've got a path to a dollar sign so there, are you happy? I'm A.O.K. now.

im turning my back now to your ideology, don't take it personally, just something I have to get used to. I don't care whose right and whose wrong, what matters to me is that I'm going to think what I want at this point and time. ive lost enough friends to the poison already.

even the poor have an agenda.
thingjs arent as simple as I want them to be.

use what I have, think what I can, help where I can help, that's what i want to do in my little world --- and no more unnecessary molding.
i guess this shaky reality could work for me.

the worst thing I could do would be to turn back and look at all the little insecurities that offer up their helping hand. comfort me, blanket me back into oblivion so I can start over again.

awareness is a land-mine.

Comfort and security might be nice, but what happens when you don't have comfort and security? Do you fight and run your way back to it?

It is your choice, whether or not you want to hole up in the ground or move onto something a little more, but I couldn't be happy, myself, in some sheltered reality... I guess I don't have too many security demands running through me, so I can be comfortable enough to pull the plugs on the ones I do have..

When you aren't addicted to comfort, security, and stability, you get it all back, as no situation challenges the addiction to them..
Peace.

"i guess this shaky reality could work for me."

This might sound trite but, rhetorically, what choice do we have?

And I just saw this, so for what its worth:

"A child becomes an adult when he realizes that he has a right not only to be right but also to be wrong."

-- Thomas Szasz, The Second Sin (1973) "Childhood"

"im turning my back now to your ideology"

Who are you talking to right there man heh?

"ive lost enough friends to the poison already"

What poison?

sorry I'm having trouble reading you - can you rephrase these statements?

IM not trying to speak for Grav, but my interpretation:maybe hes talking about awareness. The never ending state of constant questions. I think he was being poetic  . but i dont know, gonna stop there, i think i see a mine field.

But all in all, i guess ive learned to come back down, to appreciate what is already here. Cause maybe there, i will find the path to where i want to go. To sweat it, would jepordize the whole point of being in that good place... in the first place... right? No worries. :smile2:

Actually, its always about the Here and Now, just that thinking about all the other shit becomes part of the here and now. hehe

It is entirely possible to be "Enlighened" and still live your life. We don't need to choose between the two.
Peace.

"just that thinking about all the other shit becomes part of the here and now."

Yes but thinking about other spaces does in a sense remove you from the here and now

i was speaking of ideology in general, but mainly the kind that you are assumed to adopt without first fully understanding the dynamics of the situation.

something that made me want to write it was an elder of mine telling me how grand modern man is with all his technology, and that all other cultures have the opportunity to learn our "wisdom".

i dont agree with measuring the success of a culture by its technology.
