Please look at my gallery under growing woodlovers and tell me this is not a viable method. And no.....it doesn't take fucking forever.
so whats the plan after the ovoid cakes are colonized? are you going to put them in wood? try fruiting from cake? etc, etc,
from what i've seen 300mL of grain takes about 10-12 days to colonize from agar cuttings, what sort of time have the cakes been taking?
I might have to give your method a shot

I crumble them and spawn to more wood just like you would with grains.

The cakes take about 2-3 weeks. So, when you factor in the time it took you to get to a clean agar wedge, this may or may not be faster. But, it has the added benefit of already having wood for the mycelium to enjoy. Which means no lag time from them having to figure out how to start digesting wood.

To each his own. I'm not trying to preach a certain method over another.
I was just answering the OP's question of what he could do with the wood and liquid culture he already had.

just an idea, why not mix some soaked wood chips with grains? Like Mac's+BRF but with WBS+wood chips
may use that idea for an experimental Allenii jar on RBS
or it could be a terrible idea and throw off the jars
but they do seem to slow from Grain/Spawn2Wood method..

Well so far the wild print and the LC is working man... I just lysol'd everything REALLY good and lysol'd the air I was working in..and Ive got a lot of Mycelium growing already..and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger every time I look at it.. Ill go about 3 days without checking it and it will have literally quadrupled in size(the mycelium)in 3 days..You were right about this species growing fast..or colonizing fast..same thing.. Im a lil buzzed
Anyways.. I really appreciate all your guys' help with this..
Im wondering if a Ps. Cyanescens grow tek would work for this species(Ps.Oviods)...I didnt know since Oviods grow in hot, warmer climates and cyans grow in the cold ya know.. Anyways..Thanks again for all the help!!
I will post pics ASAP.. Ive just been busy... Ill try and do that tomorrow!!!
Peace
