Anyone know any good places to hunt for psilocybin mushrooms in the Spartanburg, SC/Greenville, SC/Charlotte-Mecklinberg, NC areas? Any help would be greatly appreciated, all the pastures I've tried thus far are not fruiting anything.

If you check the forum rules you'll discover that specific locations are not permitted in this forum. General locations, however, are.
So, for those who wish to provide answers to his question, please be sure to keep your location descriptions general.
Good luck and happy mushrooming!

Listen- you do not stand a very good chance of finding anything in the pastures except MAYBE pan sub. I have found them near Little Switzerland and by Hendersonville, and this was no small bit of effort. Later (next month) you should try to get as deep into a hardwood forest as possible to find gyms. Maybe not even then- if not- try NEXT month following, but I know someone who found one last September, so there's a chance- be careful hunting for them though, as galernia autumnalis are very common and share the same environment. I wish I only could help you further. Send me a message if you are ever going to be down in Shelby, NC- we'll make it a day thing and I'll show you the ropes as well as I can. As for Greenville- you might try Weilii as there is a lot of new home construction and they have been found not but fourty five minutes away. I would venture to guess that the aspiring shroomer might find a ps. cubensis. Just maybe... I realize that there is no real volume to speak of imformation on NC/SC mushies and this is a common question it seems to me. Keep on trucking and stay away from Amanitas- there are var. Formosa specimens lurking about (esp. in SC) but unless you have been there and done that- refrain. Stay alive.

monoxyde, you weren't posting specific locations. And you were asking for locations. Rather than wait and hope that nobody would post something too specific, I reminded everybody that their locations needed to be general. There are no problems at all with your post.
buddhathehut, those locations are fine. I don't live anywhere near the area, so maybe they're more specific than they sound to me, but as it stands I certainly don't see any problem with any of it. Good job.
My post was just a way to help make sure that everybody stuck with the rules in the first place. That's always a lot more pleasant than having to go after people after the rules are violated.
Happy mushrooming!
