Hello everyone!
I have some jars that i tried LC and failed, they are right size and already have lids with inoculation port and whatman filter.. Do i need to PC them or clean them in a special manner before i can re-use them?
Thanks!

clean them out and then you'll pressure cook them once you have the liquid, grain, brf etc. In there is my guess.

Soap & water is fine. If you ever need to clean something particularly funky, a bleach/water combo wil kill just about anything.

^^^^ What they said.
Yes. (IMO at least)
No super special manner of cleaning is needed but here is how I do it.
(Probably overkill but...) 1)I hand wash em with warn water n soap, I use wide mouth jars and hand bones like a bird to scrub out the inside of my jars (or use a brush) 2)I rinse the balls out of them. 3)I run through dishwasher on the high temp scrub pots n pans setting 4)Soak in a bleach solution (I use about a cup and a half of bleach to 23 liters (same solution I use for my carboys for brewing) for half an hour-an hour 5)Rinse the SHIT out of them, any bleach smell/slippery feeling? rinse some more 6)Put about 100ml of water in each, and pc them for however long I have free (but generally 60 minutes is my minimum) 7)Take out, dump, dry in oven. 8)Screw on some nice clean lids 9)????? 10)PROFIT!
like I said its overkill, specially just for an LC, but that's how I do all my jars, from coir pasteurization jars to LCs.
Good luck and shroom on.

Fucking ridiculous extreme overkill. It takes you all day to wash some damn jars, man. Just wash them with soap & water, let them dry and use them. They get sterilized or pasteurized when you use them anyway.

Yea, I know ;D But I have the spare pcs and stove elements and a dishwasher\oven in my garage specifically there for washing jars out.
Longest part man hours wise is scrubbing em out, for me.
Plus I have chinchillas, guess what's in my chinny food? Trichoderma! So I just go balls to the wall, I can still do any normal pcing and etc. while they're washing, and I have over 400 quart jars.
But my jars make the dishes on those detergent ads look filthy ;D
