Does this look ready to fruit????
    #18444975 - 06/19/13 10:45 PM (11 years, 6 months ago)

I've knocked up this 6 oz mycobag roughly a month ago and it appears fully colonized, tho I wld like some input from some of the more experienced on here. I've had good luck with helpful people before so I didn't hesitate to post my concerns. Lemme know what you think. Thx

Can we at least get a pic or something?

How can we give input on something we know nothing about?

EDIT: That's like asking Joe Biden for advice on gun safety...

Then another couple of days of consolidation would be ideal, but you're within the recommended 5-7 days and good to go ahead now if you want.  I know that it's easier to say to give it another two days than it is to do, though.  Watching bulk substrate colonize is agonizing.  Watching it do nothing is even worse.

Great looking mycelium, though.  Don't forget to show us pictures of the pinset and just before harvest.

Bulk substrates do not need a consolidation period, you can fruit right at 100%.

I'll give it another two days, considering I also have to drill the holes into my FC.  My tote is a see threw green, shld that effect the light from initiating pinning? Here's a pic of it.

You really don't need to wait, many people fruit bulk right at the point of 100% colonization. I give mine a couple days longer, but it isn't necessary.

Also, what was the material in those bags? Were they wbs or rye... because if so you have fully colonized spawn, not sub, and spawn should be spawned to a bulk sub, not fruited.

I'd cut a window in that lid. Use tape and plastic wrap.

haha, usually people are impatient and dont want to wait when they should but you r the opposite - you dont have to wait but you still decided to.

My mistake.  While RR advocates a three-day maximum consolidation for bulk subs, OP is past that.
