Is this a normal amount of growth for 13 days?

Yeh, it just means you haven't dialed in the best conditions for colonization, don't worry. You'll get to that point soon enough.

Depends on your setup, are you keeping it in darkness or ambient light?

I had it in darkness and people told me to put it in ambient light which it is in now,. Which is faster at colonization

Ambient light is much faster IME. It should be on a 12/12 schedule just like in nature, and I keep mine at about room temperature (78F) SOme people keep it lower, but 78 works the best for MY setup, and MY needs. Might not be the best for you. After a few grows, you'll have all your methods dialed in. But you can never stop learning in sucha hobby!

Here are mine at 16 days after inoculation, just over 2 weeks. 12/12 ambient light, 75-79°F, 45-65% RH. At 18 days, they are between 80-95% complete.

Yours might have been slowed by the lack of light or less than ideal colonization temps. The tall half-pints also colonize slower than the wide-mouths. I will be getting those for my next grow.

Looks like you've got yourself a nice batch coming up!
What variety are those? And is this your first grow?

Yours are beautiful! I'm going to steal your idea with the marker. I'll adjust my light and temp. Thanks!

I know this is off topic, but if 2 of my jars are almost done and way ahead of my other jars, do I put the in a FC or wait?

Wait until your jars are 100% colonized, then wait up to an extra week to fruit, this is to allow the mycelium to build a nice, strong foundation, and to ensure that you don't sget struck down by contams.

Yeah I know, but two of my jars are in the consolidation week. When that is finished what do I do? Also what are temp for dark colonization?

The same as the warm, maybe a few degrees lower, but I've always used ambient light on a 12/12 schedule so I''m probably not the best to ask.

After your 1 week consolidation, dunk for 12-24 hours, roll in dry vermiculite, then place each cake in the fruiting chamber regardless of the others. You will have each cake fruiting at different times, and harvest at different times. There is nothing wrong with that. I will be doing the same for mine. I have 5 jars running a few days behind the others, and I will be placing them in the fridge until I get back from my vacation - It will be nice to be able to have a few cakes ready when I get back too.
You can also wait until they all have consolidated for at least a week, and place them in the fruiting chamber at the same time. Either method is fine.
Mine are KSSS and EQ. Here is My Grow Log.

You're on the right track! Are those all for you? I don't mean to pry, just wondering. I grow for myself in large quantities, and I also give them away for free to VERY close friends, and my neighbors across the street come over for trips sometimes.

Hey, dude. If you point the needle towards the glass, when you inject, you can let the spore solution run all the way down the jar for faster colonization! Just something I've noticed...

No I have two others.. They are both at 95ish, and one of them has a yellow color to some spots. I hope it's metabolites. I'm only growing so small to try it out, I will soon switch to tubs when I get some experience.
