Here's the deal. A month ago I bought 20 cc of TKS. Got my cakes up and running (Steam sterilizing them and Inoculating on my stove). Well 2 weeks later I had nothing. So I figured I made a mistake and started over. Did the same thing. 2 weeks was yesterday and still nothing. NO COLONIZATION. I bought some amazonian and switched vendors. Did 5 more jars yesterday with those. But I'm worried they wont work either. What is going on? I'm following the instructions perfectly.

Spores can take up to 3 weeks to germinate and show growth.
Did you use one of our sponsors?
Just a yes or no, please do not name the vendor.

Did you let the jars cool down enough?

I would give it another week or so.
Did you shake the syringe before inoculating each jar?
How much solution was used per hole/cake?

1cc per jar. I did shake. Also I used the last of the syringe so regardless spores went into at least one cake.

To make sure the jars are cool in the center its best to just let them cool overnight. Make sure you shake the syringe well before inoculation. If you are doing both of these and still no growth you may have received dead spores..

75 constantly. I also have a chamber I can get 80 degrees constant but it is hard to promote gas exchange because I have to keep a Lid on it for that temperature.

Temp shouldn't be a big problem if he is not seeing mold or any growth unless the temps got extremly high. If the temps were low then growth would be slower but you should still see growth and if thats the case its just a waiting games. OP maybe try sacrificing a jar by opening it and seeing how it smells.

Id say give them another week or 2 tops if you don't see growth within 2 weeks then count your loses and start a new project with the new syringe.

Was that 20cc a single syringe? Or two separate ones?

I've had spores take up to 3 weeks to germinate. Give it a bit longer.
Usually a bad syringe contaminates, rather than just does nothing. I would give it some time and then contact the vendor.

Yes, jars/bags/tubs/trays should colonize @ room temperature getting ambient/indirect light.
Main pinning triggers are full colonization, FAE and Evaporation off of the substrate.
Light is a secondary pinning trigger. For tropical species temperature is not a pinning factor.
Light has been proven beneficial during all stages of mycellium growth. Mushrooms like mammals have a circadian rhythm.
You want ambient/indirect light(on a 12/12 schedule preferably) for colonization and consolidation.
You want direct/intense 6500K light on a 12/12 schedule for fruiting.

I think it is more of a problem in summertime that spores will get too hot during shipping. I think i fried some spores just being in my safe in a very hot upstairs room.

So if I left a cabinet open so I could see into it but the light isn't directly lighting the jars?
