Bulking Questions - High Roller

Hey guys,
It has been around 2 1/2 months since I started my second pf grow. My jars have been moving at snails speed and right now appear to be stalled at about 75 - 80% colonization.
I have been looking into it and bulking seems pretty logical so I can get the most out of my jars, I have done some forum browsing and come across learning about tubs and trays.
I have not been able to find a side by side comparison of the two with advantages and disadvantages of each method. I believe for my situation that trays would be better because it seems like it is more for beginners. So here are some questions about bulking:
1. Difference between trays and tubs? (advantages, disadvantages.)
2. Which will provide a better yield?
3. Which spawn formula is the best for verm and rice bran?
4. Which teks do you recommend?
5. How many trays or tubs could I get out of 9 75-80% colonized jars?
6. Any other advice?
Thanks guys! -Roller

There are many, but the main thing is that a mono is its' own FC. A tray needs to be put into a FC of some kind.

Invalid question. Too many variables.

What do you mean? Don't use rice bran. If you want PF cakes, look up how to do those.

4. Which teks do you recommend?
Frank's stuff is good. So it TranscendingLife or FooMan. For exotics, StoneSun is good. That's a start.

Depends on how far you stretch them and how big your tubs or trays are.

6. Any other advice?
Watch out where the huskies go, and don't you eat that yellow snow.
BTW, thanks for putting in some work and coming in with reasonable questions. That seems to be a dying trait here.

Ah thanks bro,
would you recommend me to do trays or tubs?
How far would you recommend stretching?

I like monotubs. But if you'd like to do a greenhouse setup, you'll have to do trays in there. Read about each. It's preference.
I like about a 2:1 bulk:spawn ratio.

Making a monotub is like putting all of your eggs in one basket. If your monotub succumbs to contamination then you lose all of those colonised jars that you put into it. If you make trays then you spread that risk over multiple trays so if you lose one tray you might not lose the others. Trays are also good if you only have a limited amount of grain spawn.
If you used a shot gun fruiting chamber for your BRF cakes then you can re-use it for your trays.
This tek is quite popular for growing cubensis. You can add some gypsum to it but it's not essential.

Multiple monotubs are cheaper and less maintenance than a gh. They also do not require electricity directly and can be stacked in a room.
Trays do indeed reduce the chance of losing larger batches to contam. Don't catch a tray fast enough in the GH though and you could lose a bunch of trays.
I recommend starting with small monotubs and working your way up. Quick, simple, productive and they're a self-contained environment when they go bad.
Peace
