:thanx: in advance, shroomerites
I hypothetically have 3 tms bags that i think may contam one i used way too much inoculate and 2 that look of decent moisture ratio
Anyways enough about those silly bags i will post about those if i get any fruits off of them.
What is the prefered tek these days for beginning mycologists? Is it still PF TEK or has the game changed a bit?
I have 5.5 cc of spore solution from a non vendor of a fungi strain, how much should i knock up a widemouth mason jar with?
Also how much does a cheap but reliable metal on metal PC run for, brands would be appreciated greatly.
Sorry for the newb mycologist questions guys. It is just so many teks so many different ways mycology can work out. I basically am asking opinions of what worked for you past newb but still beginner moderate-expert mycologists when you were a newb.

pf tek is a good starting point, then mono's or casing:thumbup:

you do 1cc per jar.

and why metal on metal? I have a presto pressure cooker that has a seal and it cost me like 50 bucks new.but if you're talking AA then time to break you're bank account.

Fruiting Chamber - >>> Monotub. SAB (still air box).  Rye berries.  Sterile Techniques.  Innoculating.

Look up these words in search, research them, figure em out - your gonna know them by the time your starting to knock up any jars or even prepping grains or WBS.

You want simple and cheap?

Rye berries as your spawn. (Learn these definitions)
CoCo Coir as your bulk substrate.

In a monotub.

Alot of people say WBS is cheap, but the vitamin cottage by my house sells 5lb bags of Rye Berries for like 1.19 a bag.

And presto is a fine brand, i own 3 Presto PCs  (Pressure Cookers)

Look up Shroomery definitions and acronyms...study them a bit, it'll help learning from forum members much easier.

Nice i dont need an expensive pc.
Ive been reading this website on and off not seriously interested in myco until recently
i have ben lurking since around 03-04 and am an adult now and have done time on jail and probation 2/4 years respectively and want a good hobby or 2 that is very productive, selling edibles or medicinals would be nice
i know most of the acronyms and what a casing and fc is and there are diff kinds of fc i am thinking maybe shotgun when i get there seems easy enough.
i only now have had a chance to acquire my own place where i can safely do my experiments lol
i will get the cheaper pc ,widemouth jars  sterilization gear and everything before i use my 6, cc of spore i have again.
meanwhile in case i get any growth in my mad season bags i got because i wanted to try them out and had the money to spend i figured its only a few tens of dollars and next month i can acquire all of my pf tek and mono tub supplies.
I am actually serious about this hobby and enhteobotanicals but moreso myco i have started to write down pf tek and the supplies and any tips i read .
thanks shroomerites for being the most helpful community
my next experiment with cultivate will be with pf tek i am thinking
it sounds alot mroe foolproof than bags which depend on 2 parties  and not just yourself/ 3 with where you get your spore syringes/prints.
Ps i wil not be buying mycobgs again until i get PFtek and spawning to mono down probably even then the mycobags i can just make ive seen some teks on those too.
shame how many newbie mycologists dont want the experience when this site is like the advanced mycologist and you are the apprentice, they want it all for no experience / work put in lol.

EDIT : Now i read PFtek doent need a pressure cooker am i wrong on this ?
@ kinaku (sorry if mispelled) i wanted metal on metal because i saw some senior shroomerites sayingit caused lss contams but it shouldn be a problem, if i sterilzie the rubber peices after each use.
thanks again for the quick replies friends
