A few important questions

I have 6 jars i inoculated around last week (pan cyans), only 1 of them is showing signs of mycelial growth. Been keeping them in temps=70-84. Do other ones still have a change to grow to begin with? Considering my jars are half pints and they will fruit fruitfully, around how many moderate trips can i expect off one jar? Lastly, i sterilized all my jars, except for one that i pasteurized (and this is the only ones thats showing mycelia growth!) my substrate was manure, verm, brf, and water, 1:1:1:1 ratio. Can someone suggest any other better more reliable mix of substrate for pan cyans? I'm looking to try to make some cakes and other with that whole casing method. I know its a lot of questions but it would be baller if you guys answer all of them. Peace and love fellow humans

No way to know. They could be contaminated, the genetics could be weak, the spores could have been bunk, the substrate could be too wet/dry. That's like asking if it will be a boy or a girl after a girl has been pregnant for a week.

Again, no way to know. How is anyone going to be able to tell you what your yield will be?

You don't pasteurize BRF. The "colonizing" jar is likely contaminated due to not being sterilized.

Check posts from WayLitJim. He's got a good cake recipe for cyans posted somewhere, but I don't have it bookmarked.

thank u fooman very informative i like the pregnant girl analogy:) I do see a little blue spot in the cake i pasteurized but that might be just psilocybin bruising? I have a normal pot and a crock pot for sterilizing. What temps and for how long should i sterilize?

The blue spot isn't psilocin- it's very likely a contaminant. Cakes don't typically bruise unless you remove them from the jar and physically handle them and they would need to be colonized of course. Again, brown rice should be sterilized and if by some miracle that jar isn't contaminated it will be soon. Toss it out and do it right this time around.
With a normal pot you would sterilize for at least an hour with a tight lid. Make sure you're using a rack or towel at the bottom of the pot. Placing jars directly on the bottom is likely to cause them to crack.
Check out RR's PF Tek vids: http://www.mushroomvideos.com/BRF-Pf-Tek
You're basically doing the same thing with the exception of the cake recipe.
