i threw my spent cakes outside, literally, just threw them out there. the mushrooms look a lot darker and have a more yellow tint to them. i think this is the right forum...but here are some pics. they look alright??

that was it for my upload limit...and it was the worst pic of all of them. im going to use a smaller file and post tomorrow.

That looks like a cube to me. Show a pic of the underside. Take a spore print.

they're definitely cubes...but they are discolored. does being outdoors affect the coloring?

i crumbled the cake and put it on the grass, and put a hand full of leaves over it. i honestly didn't think they would grow. but there are about 60 mini mushrooms out there now.

what about a veil and or remnants of a veil... ??????? spore print ect.... looks like cubensis to me.. but then again I've never held one in my hand so my opinion doesn't mean a whole lot.....

Hmm. From the picture alone, I would question if it was even a Ps. cubensis.

We would need more information. Other mushrooms could grow from the same area you dumped your cakes you know.

I wouldn't eat them, if they are rotting or anything, it wouldnt be worth it.

they dont look like they are rotting, i just dont know anything about growing outdoors and its very hard to tell from the FAQ pics. my friend knows a little about IDing, i'd be better off asking him. but i will definitely be able to post the rest of the pics tomorrow.

Although it resembles a cube, we will need some more information (such as spore print, underside of cap, stem, etc.) before we can provide a proper ID.
