in the jar too long?
    #1843137 - 08/23/03 01:00 PM (13 years, 7 months ago)

I just birthed a pf cake and found that it had some light bluish grey on it.  Before I through it out I wanted to know if it might be the vermiculite showing through the mycelium.  I suspect it is contam, but I wanted to wait till I had primordia showing before I birthed the cake.  Should I through it out?  Should I wait for primordia after full colonization?  If so how long? :frown:

What causes the bruising? it seemed to get worse as it was exposed to fresh air. It does have a great earthy smell though.
