You don't know me dude. And apparently, you don't know yourself. If I were you, I would go to some anger management classes. Or get off the meth. Your choice.

Of course mushrooms are not plants, I was simply telling you why they add trich spores to coir. Coir that is intended for growing plants sometimes has trich spores added. You'll never see them in reptile bedding though, which is what I use exclusively for my coir.
I've never used coir that has trich in it but I've seen it and it is out there.
And pasteurizing does kill the spores, but some people don't like to risk it with the faux-pasteurization bucket tek. So I recommend to everyone to pasteurize their substrates properly regardless of the contents, and then you don't have to worry about it.
Chill guys, we're just having a conversation here

Maybe someone should tell TKO that. Instead of insulting people. I don't know everything but I know bullshit when it's thrown at me. And insults.

You must be sitting here watching this thread closely, because I added "guys" to that statement about 20 seconds after I originally posted it
I hope I've answered the OP as well as your questions here.

"High quality, cleaned and pre-treated Coco Coir ideal for pot culture or other bulk uses. It is buffered and contains Trichoderma, a beneficial fungus which will feed off any nasty pathogens that may come into contact with your crop."
http://www.chrissiesgarden.co.uk/canna-coco-coir-pro-50l-with-trichoderma-765-p.asp
Just an example.

Measuring may be important at first, but after you have done a few bulks you just get a feel for it.

And that, my children, is why I posted what I posted. The OP only has 10 posts and asked a legit question about sub. I answered as best I could. I only buy coir from a pet store so it doesn't have trich added. When I was a noob jus starting I wished someone would have posted a sub calculator when I had a question. I guess when you have a ton of grows under your belt it's easy to assume everyone else is at your level. But- to each his own.

Thanks for the input everybody. Ill check that calculator out and thanks for the tip on the hydrated lime. The most frustrating thing is all the contradictions ive seen people saying use this or dont use this. No to people do things the same way. I saw agricultural lime in a couple of books a read but ill leave it alone. I just picked up some organic gypsum and the coir does not say anything is added to it.

That is why there is the TC tag.
When doing searches in the search bar, I usually try to put a "Newer than 2 years" filter on it, and give extra attention to TCs and established members.
