first time with agar to grain xfer, need some advice

I have what appears to be a healthy agar plate. It's growing slowly but it's rhizomorphic. It's a little bigger than a quarter. I can't get a decent pic because of the condensation in the plate. I want to get some rye berries in a half-pint jar with a sfd so I can make a grain master. I'm planning to make 4 jars and to cut the thing in 4 pieces. I don't have a scalpel yet and was just going to sterilize(pc) a spoon or a knife. This would be in a glove box. If it works out I'd like to get some 2lb bags pced and g2g them from the master jars.
I don't have many or any quart jars that I can use but have plenty of 1/2 pints ready to go. I have some large bags from MadSeason with filter patches.
helpful comments? suggestions?

you can us an exacto knife or utility knife, thinner blades are better since they get red hot faster. and i would really really recommend to try and get quart jars of grain.

Agreed, just go buy some quarts like $12 for 6 or 12. Can't remember. Transfer to agar as well as grains to be safe

I'd almost rather pc 4 spoons, wrapping each one in foil individually and putting that in the glove box. flame sterilizing is very difficult for me in a glove box. I have thick gloves with long sleeves. I'll do whatever it takes to make this work but spoons seem easier if I'm just doing 4 xfers. Yes, no?
I do have a quart jar or two I could use. I'll give that some thought.

I soaked 3 cups worth of rye berries just now, because I have 3 quart jars I can use. I was thinking though, couldn't I use a large grain bag instead and put a wedge into 2 lbs of grain? Would that cause problems?
