Found a gnat in my grow chamber and it got away

I saw it flying around when I fanned before work for a second, I couldnt find it and had to go. I just got home and it was just sitting there on the tip of a mushroom. I tried to pinch it but missed, and now I cant find it at all. Ive been searching about this all day at work, and I guess these gnats lay their larvae in cakes.
I bought apple cider vinegar and fly tape, and put both in my chamber to no avail thus far. Does anyone know anything about the pesky buggers?
Im pretty frustrated and could really use some help.

Medical sticky mats I forget what they are called I think they are for your shoes to clean them I heard you can put those down. Fly traps always did the trick for me though.

Ive got fly tape in there still. I read that beer and vinegar both work, but I took out the apple cider vinegar bowl because nothings landed in it and it reeks. The tape says no fumes and non toxic so I think its ok. I dont have been sittin around, but I have vodka if that would work.
Im just worried because all my cakes are birthed at different times, so dunking all the cakes to kill the larvae would be very difficult. Also what if theres some larvae in the perlite?
Has anyone delt with gnats?

What kind of fly trap did you use? I bought the tape that you pull out from a tube, so far nothing. I dont know if its just 1 gnat or more, or how worried I should be about it. Also if there is larvae in a mushroom, I have no clue how to tell. I dont have the best vision and opening my chamber to look around it with a magnifying glass will probably only make things worse

I have. They are more annoying than they are a problem. If your cakes are fully colonized it shouldn't be a problem. Them little things will spread around your house though and are annoying as shit. Only time I have a problem with them is in the summer once winter comes around they seem to go away in my experience anyways. They will lay larva in your colonizing grain and ruin your grains and love to hang out anywhere there is mycelium. I think its probably impossible to completely annihilate them once you have them but like I said they are not THAT big of a problem mostly just annoying.

http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/17231150/page/2 In the how it shouldn't look section there is a picture of fungal gnat larvae inside of a grain jar that should give you some idea of what it would look like. Im not sure what it would look like on a cake though cant say I have ever seen that on a cake.

Ill try not to worry too much. Figure id just leave the sticky tape inside of the chamber for a few days just in case though.

Use a carnivorous plant. They like high humidity.
