Help Me ID this shroom

Hey everyone. I have my very first shrooms growing and I am hoping someone can tell me what they are. I ordered from a non sponsored vendor,(I wont say the name), and this was supposed to be Great White Monster. Thats what the order was and thats how the syringes were labeled. However, they look nothing like the pictures on the site. Any ideas? Thanks.

Species is p. cubensis.
"Variety" is not able to be determined.
You have p. cubensis mushrooms.

It's almost impossible to say. A lot of psilocybe cubensis varieties look so similar. Unless its something distinct like PE, you're gonna have a hard time.
EDIT: Thanks FrankHorrigan. Corrected my error

A strain is a single set of isolated genetics.

Well is it safe to say it is NOT a Great White Monster? Or could it be? Is there really a huge difference between the strains and the effects they cause?

A cube is a cube when it comes down to it.
Those names are just vendor marketing bullshit.
Except for penis envy, you can usually expect similar results.
Why are you so worried? Eat some and give them a whirl.
Really hot in the biscuit to sell a few, are ya?

Cubes are like Asians they slightly differ, but in the end there basically all the same.
exception: Penis envy

Lol, I'm not worried at all. Just wasnt aware that all the different names were 'hype'. I thought there were real differences, both physical and psychadelic, between the products they sell on the sites. Was kinda thinking about eventually collecting them all. But if they are all the same, well,... whats the point of ordering different Strains?

So seriously, do different strains induce different 'trips'? And do some strains grow to be monsters, different colors and shapes, and produce different results? If Cubes are like Asians and differ slightly, can the same be said about weed? Its pretty much all the same but people love the variety, right? Or is there no comparison between the different strains of weed and the different strains of Cubensis? To be honest, thats one of the things that excited me about this hobby. Trying to grow all the different strains. While its still very exciting, knowing that they are 'all the same' takes a bit of the fun out of it.

its more about genetics.
if you do multi-spore (MS) there are so many possibility's with that one syringe.

So grow various varieties of cubes. Try penis envy, then move onto different species like psilocybe azurescens, psilocybe mexicana, psilocybe tampanensis, and panaeolus cyanescens, among other different species of active mushrooms. No reason to stick just to psilocybe cubensis

Different variety's do have different tendency's but that does not mean that they cannot exhibit different traits from each other or that one variety is excluded from having certain traits. Think about it like this, most orientals tend to be short and slight, but Yao Ming would not be considered short or slight. Many African Americans are considered large, but Gary Coleman is not.
You can isolate for desired traits with any variety (colonization speed, size, potency, etc) which is why most people say that a cube is a cube and do not advocate one variety over another. If you have spores, the possibilities are limitless, just get some agar and start isolating.
