Poo alternatives
    #18428181 - 06/16/13 03:12 PM (11 years, 6 months ago)

I'm having a hard time finding hpoo where I live in the short term. I have a few things in the works but they're weeks away and I have some wbs that I need to do something with. It's fully colonized and the jar's now accumulating water droplets towards the top. I've opened them slightly at an angle to aid GE, but I feel like they need to be moved on to the next step.

I have some coir, vermiculite, gypsum pellets, and sphagnum peat moss. I just want to get some feedback on what the best tek would be with the materials I have on hand.

I recently completed a GH that I'll post pics of soon. I've got an USH and CM running and I'm just trying to find the optimal settings. What is best, piping humidity in? Or having them in the actual chamber?

Use a good coir tek. Search for Damion5050. Basically you use coir, vermiculite, and gypsum. Works very well.

I would use Frank's coir tek. It is up to date and damion5050's bucket tek isn't very fool proof, you would have a better chance of success using a proper pasteurization tek, like Frank's.

Here is a link http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/17325780#17325780 to his coir prep tek, follow that then click the link at the bottom of his post to his proper pastuerization tek.

Good luck
