Hi, I looked for some pictures of Panaeolus Cinctulus mycelium, and I couldn't seem to find any of what it should look like on agar... I'm sorry if there are tons out there, but I couldn't seem to find them I have colonized some agar dishes with Pans, I'm attempting my second grow with these... the first grow got this mycelium looking shit on it, but wasn't QUITE the right color??? Like almost a white/tan... The previous attempt (which I threw all of the agar dishes out, because I thought it was contam) seems to show the same thing as this one... Can you guys please post some pics or post some links for threads I can compare pictures with please??? (: ***Preferably from a wild print, and/or on agar*** Thanks! - Riley<3 Peace out, Happy Shroomin hahaha

Doesn't all active mycelium look basically the same? I've noticed some pan species have wispy or just plain non rizomorphic mycelium, but its all white and stuff.

Hello Riley, for future reference you can use the guide in my signature, there is a section for Panaeolus cyanescens (all pan mycelium looks the same) Here is some Panaeolus sp. mycelium:

Just imagine P.cubensis mycelium, but without rhizomorphic growth, Panaeolus mycelium is just an expanding white cloud, it will not make rhizomomorphs. Also keep in mind Panaeolus cinctulus is very picky about temps, especially during fruiting, and is a relatively slow colonizer.

Well not all mycelium is white...
Red Gym on agar, agar turns red and brown as it ages... http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/8328896/fpart/7/vc/1
