Aspartame and gum

Do you think aspartame is a big deal? It's in 85% of gum in the States at least.
I try to avoid a lot of this artificial stuff (Nice try I know) but aspartame seems kinda fucked up whenever I read about it. Makes me not want to chew gum for the most part (Those non-aspartame gums are tough to find)
Could the aspartame in gum be a big deal to your brain health if you chew it daily?

You are right its in a shit ton of gum. And the all natural gum loses its flavor within 5 min.
Kind of take it as you sent supposed to chew gum . My girlfriend chews aspartame gum 24/7 and she's fine. But as a hippie who is afraid of what like aspartame. I will stay clear.

Aspartame makes your brain cells scream "Ahhhhhhh"
Right before they die
That's why people get a buzz of diet soda.
It's actually their brain cells fizzling off

It's in pretty much all gum. You'd have a hard time finding gum without it.
As for OP, I'm not much of a gum person so I don't really mind.

Chewing gum isn't good for you anyway. By chewing gum you make your body think your eating something which makes your stomach produce stomach acid to break down the food, and because there is no food in your stomach, the stomach acid starts eating away at your stomach walls instead which will cause you problems later in life for chewing on some weird sticky crap you can't swallow.

No it won't cause retardation but it will cause issues if you are a phenylketonuric - however if you are you have bigger issues to worry about than aspartame..

There is a lot of misinformation on aspartame.
