Substrate still good?

Last night I PC'd 2 oven bags with a coir/verm substrate and I let them cool over night, I did open the pc to check if the bags busted or anything but they didn't. Do I need to rePC it before it introduce spawn to it in a monotub

You don't want to sterilize your bulk substrate of coir/verm. Follow a pasteurization tek.

You shouldn't be sterilizing bulk substrate, but rather pasteurizing. Those bags are now worse than before you did that. Start over and follow a good pasteurization tek.. I recommend this: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/17246844#17246844

The only reason I sterilize instead of pasteurize is because I have no access to a proper thermometer is it really necessary to pasteurize instead of sterilize? Like is it truely 100% necessary or no? I have never had any troubles with sterilizing my substrate

From the tek I posted for you "Since we spawn to bulk in open air, a partially sterilized substrate is just as shitty as an unpasteurized substrate." Also means that sterilized is worse than doing nothing at all. Because it is sterile, anything that lands on it will grow. Not good for your myc.
100% required to pasteurize? probably not. But it is a bad idea to sterilize. Try following Damion5050's tek since you have no thermometer. I used it for awhile with mixed results. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/11916595

I had that problem too.. maybe 40% of the time. Have you ever sterilized and had a successful grow?

This here is at around 80%-90% colonized and it was sterolized

Well hell if it works keep going I suppose. You seem to be able to prove that you CAN sterilize, at least sometimes and get away with it. How long has it been colonizing?
Also, to answer you initial question.. I think they would be OK if the bags were sealed.
I just did pasteurization for the first time.. along with a grain soak prior to bulk spawn.. and my tubs went to 100% in 5 days.. Really nuts, dunno if that made a difference as I don't work with isolates, but I was impressed.

If it's only coir and vermiculite it's probably fine. I've been sterilizing my coir for some time now with no problem. Of course that's only IME. It's possible others have had less fortunate experiences doing so.
Any other bulk substrates, like manure, straw, coffee grounds I would not use without proper pasteurization.

That is all news to me Kizzle. Is there a reason that information isn't proliferated?

The fact that substrates should be pasteurized is all over the place. Coir happens to be very resistant to contams, but I still wouldn't sterilize it, personally.

Yeah pasteurization information is everywhere.. I was just always under the guise that sterilization is always a no-no.

just do a search for "pasteurize or sterilize?"
Several months of reading pops up.

Depends on how you go about it. For something like grow bags, you could sterilize your bulk, spawn in front of a hood, then fruit as normal in a GH once colonized.
If you wanna do a monotub or something like that, you need to pasteurize.

BTW, I believe sterilizing coir does make it more susceptible to molds but It's resistant enough that mold is rare either way.

Sterilizing anything that's going to be exposed to open air is always way worse than pasteurizing.
