Using containing fertilizer potting soil as a casing?

Hello!
Everybody know that mushrooms metabolize toxins (that's why we couldn't pick mushies near the roads or big towns).
But is this okay to use potting soil with chemicals fertilizers in? I saw in this forum that few cultivators used to apply a MGMC based casing layer,I wanted to know which could be the risks of using these kinds of potting soils, knowing that fertilizers can be really harmful.
I used to do the 50/50+ tek in the past, which worked fine for me,but I wanted to change my recipe just a little using a 50%verm/50%potting soil.
Anybody can help me!
Oh,I was forgetting...sorry for my bad english!

The 50/50 would be better than a chem. potting mix in my opion. I would think peat and verm would do just fine. potting soil is made up of a lot of peat to begin with. Im no expert but I wouldnt use any thing with chem. fert. added to it. Maybe some one else could have some helpful info?
There is also alot of older theads that might answer your question

I doubt the mycelium uptakes the chemical fertilizers, but they should be avoided for other reasons as well.
Perhaps the biggest immediate problem you'll face with chemical 'fertilizers'(that's a contradiction in terms if there ever was one) is algae growth.

That's what I was thinking. There's just no good reason to use them. They're way more expensive than any grain, straw, sawdust, woodchips, manure, etc, and you just don't need them.
If you want something to act like a "fertilizer" look into supplementation of your bulk substrates.
