A hypothetical question regarding Australian customs and LSD
    #18412268 - 06/13/13 05:31 AM (10 years, 11 months ago)

Would Australia's customs be more likely to discover a vial of liquid LSD in the mail or a sheet of 100 blotters? Just out of curiosity. On the various other forums I see people sharing success stories for both, but theyr never australian.

It would be easier to get a sheet of blotters in, however they do often open thick or bumpy letters, so keep it as thin and non-bumpy as possible.  Ideally you would lay the liquid on to a business card or something else which doesn't look illegal.

If 100 blotters were seized, would I just receive a letter or would I face prosecution?

100 blotters is sufficient to piss them off enough to prosecute you.

If you wanted to send 100 hits of acid to Australia, the correct way to do it is to send 10 milligrams of crystal in a regular, non-bumpy letter.

A couple years ago I sent 19 different rare spore prints to Australia, and the letter was regular sized but a bit bumpy because it had 19 plastic bags in it.  It got seized and they sent the recipient a letter saying that if he paid $40, they would return the package to the sender.  And if he didn't pay, they would burn them.  He didn't pay.

I resent the 19 prints in 10 different envelopes, all of them packaged well with a few pieces of paper in an extremely flat/normal letter.  All 19 prints made it.

I'm talking about on the receiving end, like if they were ordered off Silk Road or something, but they had no proof of me paying for them. Could I argue I knew nothing about them?

You could try, but you might be convicted anyway.  Especially if your house had other drugs in it when they searched.

If you had a completely clean house that had no illegal drugs, you would be much more likely to get away with it.

Even if it is where the buyer actually resides?

It's not cool to ship drugs to a house where the homeowner isn't cool with it.  The homeowner could wake up with guns in their face for something that isn't their fault.

Wouldn't it be a lot less suspect and make it easier to argue that someone is messing with us if it was to go to an address that is under a parents name with no criminal history?

Yes, but getting an innocent person involved in your drug case wouldn't be very shroomy.

Yeh I know and that would deffinately be worst case scenario. I'm sure 100 tabs would get through with much hassle so long as it's an envelope

Better do this when you have your own address or over some other contact from within your country. Australia seems to have hard customs and besides some policemen coming into your house you might also get problems with your parents.

I take some issue with that. A shroomy person going free is always super shroomy. :awesome:  An average person being hassled or arrested over something they have no knowledge of isn't shroomy but it is still good because it will create more public opposition to prohibition laws in general. The attitude now is very much like that south of the border, that the defendant has to prove their innocence. That has to change and I hate to know it but I do, the more totally straight people that get their lives ruined by prohibition the better because that's the only way it'll change. So I'd suggest using the address or vehicle of a public official for the drop too, if possible, simply because of publicity it would draw if they are accused and their complicity in the heinous way the system victimizes shroomy people..

Very good point. Although i would hate to imagine my mum getting done for importing LSD, it seems smart to do it to her address as if she was to get caught she would have a much stronger case because she genuinely didn't have any idea of it where it's came from, where as if I mailed it to my address I'd have less chance of being able to claim I had no idea of the envelopes origin. Does anybody know what method customs would most likely catch it? Dogs or x-ray? Because a sheet of 100 would for on a standard envelop wouldn't it? Surely they don't open that many buisness envelopes containing paper only.

Cheers for all the answers guys, I just want to have abit of backround knowledge on the subject, the risks and chances.

Neither.  They feel for envelopes that are bumpy and have more than just regular sheets of paper in them.
