Ayahuasca and A.Confusa?

Hello again everyone. Forgive me if this is in the wrong place - I am mostly confused about a.confusa!
Or skeptical, or both?
Here's a little background with my aya experience.
We have brewed ayahuasca two times. The first was with MHRB and B.Caapi. The second was with b.caapi and chacruna.
I had an amazing life changing experience the first time. I felt truly healed. My BF however, felt nothing. He is much bigger than me, it seems he needs at least triple servings of food, medicine, etc to feel it. At first I thought he was just being greedy but no! Over time I've come to see its true. The second time with chacruna, I felt wasn't as powerful an experience, but still just as rewarding. Again, he reported not feeling it, although he said he felt really good and positive the following day(s).
Since our experiences (last year - I think I may have been posting about how to do our first brew even on here ;p )the source that I was using (a place called Sonoran Song) has since had their mimosa seized and are no longer selling it. It seems a lot of places have had similar situations happen to them, and it is now hard to get mimosa - it has been taken off of ebay and amazon as well! I would like to find a new source, and actually I do a bit of dying and started learning batik as well - although I am always skeptical of the quality from those sites you just never hear of before. (although I noticed that Avalon Magic Plants carry both MHRB and caapi - any personal experiences ?)
Anyway, looking for a new place I came across botanical spirit (From Bouncing Bear Botanicals) and found a. confusa. I am very intrigued - they even say it has a stronger dye than MHRB!
I can't believe I've never heard of a.confusa before. It seems to be more easily obtainable all around the net than the now hard to get mimosa hostilis - But although my bf believed and hoped with all his heart for the experience and healing to come to him, I think after two hours of long brewing with no results has discouraged him. He still wants to try, and I really think it would do wonders for him.
I guess right now I am just on the fence about this a.confusa. Because I have never come across it, and also because it's being claimed as 'stronger'. I suppose it could be a good thing that I haven't discovered it, maybe in the future it will be as unobtainable as MHRB seems to be. Now that I see that avalon still carries mimosa I might just do that, but I have still become intrigued - would anyone be able to provide some insight?
I think it is also important to add that my bf was taking prescription SSRIs when we tried brewing, and we thought that might have something to do with the lack of results - could this be true? He has now been off his meds, we both want to be free of such things, I am mostly paranoid about consuming synthetic non natural things in general now, but we were hoping now that he is no longer taking the SSRIs a third try will finally be a break through - for both of us. Because it was our first experience I took a lower dose, and would like to up the dose the next time around.
Thank you for your time and thank you so much for reading!

They say oral D doesn't get some people higjh for the first couple times bacause they are "not ready" and I'm almost inclined to believe that. It happened to me. Same prep, same dose. The third time was multiple deaths/ascensions from my body. Visual/audio chaos.
Yes, Acacia confusa can have up to 2.5 times the D of mimosa. For less violent trips, be careful on the amount of rue. Make sure to be very clear about your intentions. Bring some questions to ask and be ready to die

Hmm, that is very interesting! What did you do for dose/prep? I have never used rue before - is that what is usually preferred with confusa?
I admit wanting to stick to caapi because I feel like I 'know' it, having used it before. Have you ever done MHRB/caapi ? Or have bought from avalon before?
If I were to get confusa/rue it would be yet another new thing for me. Not that I am afraid, but I would be in the dark as well.
Is the process the same for brewing ayahuasca?
and ps - teehee are you forum stalking me ;p?

Stalking? Ha! No , you had a guitar question & a psychedelic question and those are my main areas of expertise.
The caapi is more gentle, stick with that. Rue generally will VASTLY potentiate the dmt to astronomical levels. My preferred method is jello for the D portion. Rue might benefit your bf though if he has trouble. You should feel high and "succeptable" from the maoi before consuming the D for a sure thing. Some people mix them both in the traditional format. I liked to take the maoi and wait 15 minutes. Although, I found everything I came to find and more, and will likely never return.

I was just teasing! :P You also messaged me once in 2012. I will think on it more, but I may go the a.confusa and rue route for hopes that my boyfriend will have some success this time around. Sorry, not sure if I asked - is the process the same with brewing using confusa?
Also, isn't it from asia/Taiwan? So wouldn't that mean that it's not really a "traditional" brew?

Yeah, same brew methods. I vaguely remember messaging you I guess. No idea what I said tho. I'm always erasing those. At any rate, I wish you the best on your travels.
