Sterilizing my bathroom for inoculation (questions)

Hey guys so i decided im going to do my inoculation in bathroom since its small and has the most stale air out of any room. If all this questions could be specifically answered that would be awesome!
There is a vent in the bathroom, I live in apartment, should I cover up the vent a few hours before I inoculate?
I have simple green and Bleach Cleaner for kitchen sinks, countertops and all that stuff.
How should I go about it?use both? use one?
Any other important sanitary tips you guys have will be much appreciated
(No i do not have a glovebox! )

I know this is not what you were looking for, but realistically you should make one. its really easy, very beneficial and multiple times better then a bathroom

Just wash your hands and sanitize your work area. If you have properly made your jars and you flame your syringe you will be fine. I always wipe the are of the injection with 70% iso before shooting it. You don't need to be in a clean room to do this just stale air and a clean work area. Washing your hands and arms prior to beginning work is recommended.

I keep a small sponge soaked in alcohol on my left side and my flame on my right. Wipe jar flame needle push small amount of solution out to cool needle and then shoot. Def don't do something that's gonna catch you on fire. That would be bad.

also I got 6 half pint jars. And a standard sized syringe. How many cc's (is that 1/10 of a standard?) should I inoculate each jar with?

You can but I'm impatient and my cat is usually in my face while doing this so I just get them done ASAP. If you do cool it down with solution it only takes a tiny amount. And when you wipe the jars just don't go crazy if it pools your using too much. Think like when you get a shot at the doctors. And don't cause a fire seriously it's happened. Common sense goes for miles in this field.

Follow the tek. Point syringe towards the glass and just squirt enough that you see it run down the sides. Do this in 4 holes it should equal roughly 1 cc per jar I believe. I use grains myself and I only add 1 to 2 drops per pint. I can probably get 30 jars from one syringe. But with pf tek you can't get away with that.

A bathroom is one of the worst places you could choose for inoculation. Its a breeding ground for all sorts of bacterias and mold.
Open air inoculations is not recomended at all .
Get yourself a plastic tub, cut 2 arm holes. Some cheap latex or non latex thin type gloves and wear long sleaves.
Its not fun when a week later 90% of your jars contaminate with green mold.

I use the bathroom for both inoculations and growing, but it is a bathroom that we have never showered in and the toilet is the only thing we use there. It has a vent but I just flip the circuit breaker on the AC unit about an hour before I inoculate because I can't turn off the damn circulate air randomly thingy on our thermostat.
My Still Air Box is just a clear tote that I prop up on one end and then tape foil along the sides to enclose it a bit more. Some people hang it over the edge of the table, but I find this restricts your arms and hands a bit more.
-------------------- A bit expensive but the largest clear tote I've found. Great if you want a large SGFC that can easily do both trays and cakes. If you decide to go all out on a SGFC, be sure to get coarse perlite. It keeps it cleaner and allows better FAE and humidity.

That really depends on your bathroom. Many bathrooms don't contain any textiles and other stuff, so contams can only grow on smooth surfaces, which are not best breeding grounds for molds and bacteria. And if you wipe it, it's really clean. That's why bathrooms are covered with tiles unlike other rooms in your house.

I have litter boxes for cats and ferrets in my bathroom. I keep my SAB in the living room or dining area. Never the bathroom or kitchen

Dont use the bathroom, I made a spot in my living room, stuck my sab on top of a converting tray table, as high as it can go, stood on a chair and inoculated. The higher the better, less chance for contams. Bathrooms and kitchens are the dumbest ideas ever, but if you are dumb enough to see otherwise and succeed then you know the rest of your apartment will work.

haha a lot of what people go for when working with their SAB is a Still air room.
Bathrooms are usually the smallest rooms a your typical house, so there's very little air movement once inside, and everythings been sanitized...
doesn't sound dumb to me.
