Dreaded green junk, first grow, Quick question within.

I am at the point in my first grow where almost all of my BRF jars are colonized. One jar however has developed a few green spots in an uncolonized section of the jar. I have removed the jar from my incubator and isolated it. My question is, can I salvage some of the cake if I birth it early, cut away the infected portion of substrate, dunk and roll it and build a mini-shotgun terrarium out of a tupperware to house this cake in isolation? Am I right in assuming this is a bacterial bloom (havent given it the sniff test yet)? Pics:
The spots:

The other side of the cake ( the colonized cakes which i plan to birth on tuesday all look nice and healthy like this clean side of the cake in question):

Thank you in advance for tolerating my newbie question!

You could empty it in a hole outside and see if anything grows there. Any other methods of salvaging it aren't going to be any more likely to work and simply increase the chance of spreading what's presumably mold spores around your home.
Should note though that the only way to completely eliminate the possibility of cross-contamination is to throw out the jar unopened or resterilize it (killing any mold spores and mushroom mycelium) and then empty it.

If you have a cake that shows contams while still in the jar, your only options are burying the cake outside and hoping you get some flushes from that, or trashing it. 1 cake is not worth the risk of contaming your grow space. Cutting away contams does not work either.
Edit: Kizzle beat me to it.

Ok, "toss it" was what I had gathered the consensus would be from reading I had done. I buried the cake in my yard at the edge of the woods in some loose soil. I crumbled the cake a bit and other than the contam it was looking really good, well consolidated throughout. Being that I live in northern New England I don't have much hope for these cubes surviving the wild long enough to fruit spontaneously. We will see. Thank you guys!

Cubes don't grow wild around here either but I still find some growing quite often where I bury my old substrates.

It's very possible in the coming couple of months you may luck out since it is warm/humid enough to fruit then outside. When you mean northern, are you talking NH or Maine?

Its very salvageable
Take it outside, get a clean tray gloves and a facemask break the cake apart separating the bad from good, remember to take some of the good myclium and chuck it just to be sure u got all the cont am out
once you feel you have nothing by Mushroom Myc left grate the rest of the cake up into a small fruiting tray cover it with foil put some hole in the top and in 1 week it will fruit

Except mold and Myc are both white. The color change is due to the mold releasing spores which only happens on the surface. Especially if we're talking Trich, as it eats our lovely Cube myc.

Thats silly talk, once a cake is fully colonized there both going to fruit. your going to be able to tell the different hence why i said throw away a bit extra to be sure
not to mention ive done this on several occasions and have not see the trich again after re consolidation so ill have to say from personal experience it is possible, if you don't experiment you don't gain especially from recycling information that's irrelevant

this is the third time ive seen someone suggest burying a bad jar. i thought they were trying to be funny. am i missing something here?

Mother nature presents a possibility of "rehabilitating" and possibly allowing for fruiting. Burying outside also "hides" the evidence. This keeps the contaminants outdoors as well.
Outdoor grows have a few different variables than indoor. OD requires less attention to pasteurization, and can experience success with a 10:1 ratio or less depending on bulk substrates. However, OD has things like slugs, animals and possibly improper fruiting conditions....also neighbors and other nosey types depending on where you put an OD patch...This is not something you could consider with one cake, but just some info.
I move my hobby outdoors for the season, and have been unfortunately working terribly long hours 6 days a week, so what little I have done I have yet to maintain. I have one flower pot that I mixed a half quart of spawn with some straw verm and manure and it looks splendid. I have no time at all for anything, so letting mother nature do its thing is all I can hope for. Worst case scenario is that my tomatoes continue to grow and love the mix, and I never see a single mushroom.

Check out that thread. This is an inspirational thread with loads of great info, and it shows how "eazy" an OD setup could be. OD grows take away the fear of most of the contams...but again introduces other variables.

All it takes is a few days of proper conditions, and you may be surprised. I try to keep my "trash" in solid pieces or mix with a "bulk". I have picked a few caps OD this spring, but nothing worth measuring...but I wasn't attempting to grow...just attempting to conceal and remove from indoors.
With only a small amount of spawn, you will most likely be providing the slugs with a fresh meal....which they will find inevitably.
