What do you guys think about this?
I think if we're gonna try to bring back any extinct species it should be the one's we've wiped out, not animals that went extinct 10,000 years ago due to climate change, they have no natural habitat anymore. What will they do with them, release them into the wild? There's no way, they'll probably just keep them in labs and run tests on them, so what's the point really?

Some experts hold that mammoths were hunted to extinction beginning some 10,000 years ago by the species that was to become the planet's dominant predator -- humans.

I was thinking about that but most studies show that any human influence on the extinction of mammoths was minimal, their numbers plummeted to almost nothing at the end of the last Ice Age, at the exact time that dozens of other species all happened to go extinct, and those were certainly not due to over-hunting. Either way you cut it, their original habitat was for all intents and purposes gone well before the current warming trend, so I have no idea what they're gonna do with them, best case scenario they'll put them into some sort of high tech sub-zero zoo?

I don't really see the purpose of doing this because they went extinct for a natural reason. Although I would like to see the outcome of this.
