My friend has tossed out cakes over night, taken them back inside after they sat in dirt, worms, twigs, etc. and rolled in verm and birthed and gotten flushes.

kussh you gotta explain this geolite to me....everyone always preaches about perlite to the newbies, but that shit is messy and for some reason it gives me and my cakes bad vibes....

is geolite more expensive? how much would a bag cost, and what is the upkeep on it once u dump it into a terrarium

Yeah it's more expensive, varies where ever you go. It's not to expensive, but it costs more then perlite does. But it lasts a long time, you can keep reusing it. It's used in hydroponics, search google or somewhere for geolite, leca rocks, or grow rox, and you'll get results I'm sure. I've found they're hard to find locally, so online is a good method if you have to buy them.

but what do they do that is so much better than perlite.....gimme the pros and cons, and also how to upkeep the geolite in a terrarium (ie how much water to add, etc)
