Just seeing if I did this right today marks the 6th day of my little friends in there  nothing has happened temp is usually around 74-76 daily they are getting light and fresh air but I think something is wrong I have a bunch of sitting water from the perlite should I get rid of that? (and yes for these pictures my FC was sitting on a mushroom stool)

Not nearly enough holes in the chamber. It should also be elevated some. Cakes need to be rolled in verm to help with moisture.

It sounds like you haven't found the brf tek and shotgun terrarium tek yet.

Would I be able to use an air pump to avoid putting holes in the tub? I want to use a similar setup but don't want any holes in my tub

Why don't you want holes in it?

My tubs have many purposes.. Drilling holes will only make them good for one thing. My question was referring to a PMP. Can I produce the required humidity using an air pump and water heater inside a tub with perlite on the bottom and cakes on top?

By not following the tek properly..... all you have is a bucket of stagnant water with some cakes sitting in it. Do you seriously think the stagnant water is going to create a micro climate inside of an enclosed space?

There are reasons you need all the holes on all sides of the tub. And YES.... even holes on the bottom.

It's not just about humidity. It's also about fresh air exchange. The man himself posted the links a couple posts up. You should check them out.

just by another tub there not expensive.

The only thing that i can think of that would render your tub being useless if it had holes in it would be liquids or sands etc

A tub without holes can work, how well it works is another question, and the level of care goes up drastically to get the best results.

With no air exchange you would need to fan out once per hour.

Also shotgun terrariums design doesnt just allow passive FAE it also helps with humidity as air can filter through the perlite which wicks moisture into the air.

No one told you to buy anything and no one's trying to scam you. They're just telling you how to do it right so you dont set yourself up for failure. Coming and asking for tips and opinions and then telling people that "your way works fine the way it is" is very counter intuitive. Honestly just listen to these guys, especially RR. Go to the links he posted and follow them word for word. It's not expensive nor is it difficult. These guys know what they're doing and just want to help.

www.mushroomvideos.com

There you go, some of RR's work. Just a small little tiny bit. RR has been here for a long time.

And has been involved in cultivation for a lot longer.

Just because you "got it to work" doesn't mean it's optimal. Maybe you should do a side by side with your tub and a standard shotgun style tub and compare the results for yourself.
