I have 4 of them sitting on a rack above some perilite with water. I dont think they are sucking up any moisture... Should I put the cakes down to sit directly on the perilite? Thanks let me know =D or should I not worry about theM?

Dont worry about it. Everything should be fine. If you see that they are dring out think just put them on there. I have mine on a cooling rack. With it coverd with a sheet of aluminum foil so there are no cracks. There is plenty of moist air, and condensation. But of cousre I have a dual air pumps running through that bitch.

ya dunked them.. Only for about 5-6 hours tho... Itll prolly be enuf.. Should I mist or is there no need to? I have a light shining on the perilite/water so I figured that would provide adequete moisture am I right?

Why only 5-6 hrs? I do belive the tek calls for 12hr for birth. Yes you must mist indirectly in terri.

Set them on the perlite, even if they aren't dehydrated.

How long since you birthed them?

Whenever I did cakes, it'd usually take about 8 days, at the least, for pins to appear.

its possible? is there anywhere in the faqs that say anything about dunking after birth?

?

For dunking, I'd just wait till they were colonized, wait a couple more days to be sure it was colonized throughout, then I'd just birth them, wipe off the dry layer of verm, put back into jar, and fill with water.

No, it won't happen this weekend, sorry bud, just by some acid. You should have them by next week, sometime. Don't rush it, don't fuck with them all that much (besides fanning).

I never liked to rest the cakes directly on the perlite, but you can if you'd like.
