FLOW HOOD QUESTIONS PLEASE HELP!

I posted this in General Cultivation but was not given any useful information
I recently purchased a flow hood filter. I initially called with the intention of ordering a: Tri Pure HEPA Standard Capacity 99.99% @ .03 Micron 24"X24"X6" But all they had in stock was 24X48X5 7/8. Now I am pretty excited about having such a large area to work with but i am just curious about the dimensions of the box. Will 2 feet deep work to create laminar flow? Also considering the size of the filter, what would the appropriate strength for the blower? Any advice from preferably a TC with experience will flow hoods would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.
ALSO I noticed on the filter that it says Rated Resistance 1.00" w.g at 1000 CFM, so I am guessing that I need a 1000 cfm blower, which i have sourced, but before i purchase it I would very much like to receive some reassurance that this is the correct power of blower I need

That means if you develop 1" of Water Gauge in the plenum behind the filter, 1000 cfm will flow out the front. Quite incidentally, that is about right for an 8 square foot filter.
You're going to need in the neighborhood of a 1000 cfm blower @ 1" W.G. Get ready to pony up some bucks because that's not going to be cheap. You might be able to source a used one from a local heat and air shop. Make sure it's rated at pressure, because the cheap ones aren't.
I'd make the plenum at least about a foot deep behind the filter. RR

thanks A LOT RR. Just the man i was looking for. I actually purchased just that, a 1000 cfm blower used at a local hydroponic shop, though they were unable to tell me if it was pressure rated it worked the best by far out of the three units they had.
Again, Thanks for the help, it means a lot to me! As you probably know you have been instrumental to my, and many others, advancement in this hobby.

Blowers from hydroponics stores are not typically rated at pressure. They are just designed to move air around at little to no pressure buildup.
Was it an in-line fan, or squirrel cage?

squirrel cage. and it wasn't originally from the hydroponic store, it was used and most likely originally from a hvac store.

What are the fan specs? I hope you update this thread. I'd love to see this build.
