    #18352832 - 06/01/13 10:04 AM (10 years, 11 months ago)

Is privnote sufficent to encrypt a message if that is all you are using?
No tor, anon opensource serv, or anything. Just privnote.

I don't think privnote encrypts anything. You could use it to leave an encrypted message for someone though.

It's run by this outfit in Uraguay... http://insophia.com/ It it public knowledge that CIA has previously run operations out of Uraguay, like Operation Condor. You just need to realize how deep CIA is in anything remorely related to security, they are part of all the security companies like VeriSign and have their fingers in every pot related to data mining of any sort, which is part of insophia's business. I would not trust it for that reason. I would not think the data would be shared with law enforcement, but only for their intelligence purposes though, but I still have an issue with volunteering info into a CIA database on principle though.

Privnote doesn't encrypt - but just makes a one time private note.
As such - it kind of depends what information you are sharing.
