god i would hurt my friends if they just "tried" wild mushrooms because they thought they could trip, slap some sense into your friends, i dont know if yellow is hallucinagenic, im sure someone here knows specificaly, wild shrooms deffinitly arent something an unexperienced person should fuck with.

Im pretty sure theyre no different from the red ones, but i wouldnt go around picking amanitas from around your house if you dont really know what you're doing. From what ive heard theyre hard to differentiate from other amanitas which are the deadly kind of poisonous. If you want to eat them, find an expert and get them to check out the mushrooms and make sure you made the correct identification.

edit: dont mean to imply that you dont know what you're doing, just saying its hard to distinguish between amanitas so if you dont know what you're doing its not a good idea to eat them.

Yellow fly agaric's are indeed hallucinogenic, however they are genrally considered less potent than the red variety.
But I still wouldn't eat a mushrooms based on its colour especially a member of the amanitas family, many poisnous members of the family can also have a yellowish appearance.
Make sure you got the right ID and enjoy

the reason why they eat the yellow ones is that thier is are red ones around here but thier's a poisones mushroom that that is identical from to the red ones but no poisenes yellow ones thats why they eat only the yellow ones. Thanks for all the info guys and if thier is any more info please tell.

Huh? I just explained that it is somewhat foolish to identify a mushroom by colour alone. Many deadly amanitas mushrooms can have a yellow apperance. Just be careful, one can never be too prudent when picking mushrooms.

The yellow ones are Amanita muscaria var formosa. If they are ided correctly they are straight. There are some deadly look alikes though.

I can see the headlines now "Children die trying to trip off mushrooms. New laws demanded.."

Trust me I would never eat a wild mushroom even if it was identified by a cirtified mycoligest. I was just wondering. But thanks for the concern about some dumb kid eating wild mushrooms.
