Im 6 185 and im a decent size. 20 lbs (about what 2 inches is) and ild be fucking huge.
If your goal is to be a powerlifter and get an elite total that would be to small. Generally 6 foot and above need to Weigh in at 275+ to accomplish that.

Lol Ronnie Coleman is a genetic freak , like one in a billion genetics on top of one in a billion access to the best enhancements. Yes, it is possible to weigh that amount with the gear he's on and his genetics.
For 99% of the general population this is out of the question. We are just average dude's we don't have the money or physicians care to make sure we don't fuck ourselves up. Ive had a friend inject simple testosterone which is supposedly the safest thing, he did everything right, dosages, times, PCT, etc etc, and came back with fucked up liver values on a blood test taken afterwards.
You don't need steroids or insane bodyweight to look big.
This is me last summer at the end of August so I was just starting to bulk again. I don't think I was more than 185lb at 6'2" in this pic.

Being big has one purpose, helps you lift more weight. Who gives a shit about looking big? This is the powerlifting thread right?

well the title is powerlifting, diet, supplements, bulking
i think that qualifies as the looking big part right?

My statement was in response to that. The insane body weight and steroids in powerlifting have nothing to do with trying to look big. It's about putting up more weight. I'm sure in ronnies case it is but he is a bodybuilder.
My comments about weight were in reference to powerlifting weight classes and what you'd need to weigh to be sucessful. Looking big or having a nice physique had nothing to do with the reasoning for weighing 275+.

I just look at it as a lifting thread. Bulking doesn't mean only Powerlifting.
I really dont know much about weightlifting competitions so i cant comment on that at all. Im not trying to move immense amounts of steel, i just like the satisfaction that comes from well rounded lifting, not powerlifting, not bodybuilding, just lifting in general.
Setting goals, making a routine, and achieving those goals. The added size, confidence, and attention from the females doesnt hurt either I guess it would be cool to bench 500 pounds but thats not really the look im going for, nor do i think my body could handle it. --------
that being said.
What do you guys do to break through a plateau? What ive always been told is to drop weight and really focus on form. Im thinking about doing that and working on more isolation exercises.

Yeah, never helped me much with strength though. They also sometimes have someone (mainly women from what I've seen) on standby to slap the hell outta the dude's face before a lift to pump him up

I recently (last few weeks) started exercising using things other than KBs recently. I'll be exploiting the OP of this thread and reading allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll day. Been enjoying the results so far. The nutrition is the hard part!
