Gymnopilus Sp?
Habitat: In the woods of western central wisconsin. Appears to be growing on a very old rotted maple.
Gills: Off white tan
Stem: 2-4mm dia, diameter, off white tan, hollow
Cap: 6cm dia, tan, smooth, spherical, convex
Spore print color: Rusty Brown/ brown orange (see picture)
Bruising: Unsure, possibly a darker shade
Other: Smells bitter, almost reminds me of old cardboard.

There are many differences. For one the spore print color of gyms is a orange, and kuehns are brown. But macroscopically there are many differences. I suggest you use google images and look at both genera, you will see many differences. gymnopilus will often be very bitter to the taste, however it is not safe to ever swallow an unidentified mushroom, so taste a small part and spit it out, but you shouldn't have to do this. just look at pictures.

Yeah I guess I do see a few differences. I just looked at the wiki page and my mushrooms dont have a ring like Galerina marginata.
What do you all think of these? Am I dying from all the noxious mushrooms I've handled already?

That was my second guess, makes sense given Kuehneromyces lignicola has a lower affinity for hardwoods than Galerina marginata

You can not get poisoned by handling fungi. Your second mushrooms are Coprinellus sect. micacei
The ring is often missing in Galerina marginata. especially in older specimens.

You should be looking for Conocybe smithii/cyanopus and BLG's (big laughing gymnopilus) and Panaeolus cinctulus.
