Know anything about liver cleansing or body detox methods?

If so, I would appreciate some knowledge.
To make a long story short, I haven't maintained my health the past while, on top of substance useage, and recent bloodwork shows my uric acid levels are high and liver enzymes are elevated. I've been negligent and I want to take immediate steps to cleanse my body of toxins and begin a new health diet and exercise regime. I have heard about body and liver detox products but I have no clue if they are beneficial or not really worth it.
Unfortunately my knowledge on such is limited, and while I am doing my own research into everything I would really appreciate any information members can give me relating to the above.

Milk thistle is my favorite, and it tastes so good. (NutriGold Milk Thistle Extract is assured quality, but I like the powder and liquid NON-ALCOHOL extract for tea as well.)
I use broken cell wall chlorella, but it doesn't taste nearly as good. (bulk powders)

Calcium D glucurate is a very good one. I take 3 grams after a night of partying and am 100% next day. This supplement helps your body flush out toxins (just research it). http://www.amazon.com/Source-Naturals-Calcium-D-Glucarate-500mg/dp/B00196P1U8
Also DIM is a lifesaver after a night of heavy drinking.

NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine) helps your liver in a big way. It is reported to help a lot after a night of heavy drinking (never used this one). I hear it is more effective than Milk Thistle.

Thanks guys much appreciated.
I've been reading up on different things and I've seen milk thistle a few times so I'll definitely look into that. I'm also looking up foods that naturally cleanse the body and foods that have essential proteins, vitamins, etc.

I also suggest milk thistle & chlorella. Milk thistle is terrific medicine for the liver, very healing.
Chlorella is good at removing all sorts of nasties out of the body, packs a lot of nutrition and benefits all around.
Maca root is another good one to incorporate into things.
I use all three of these somewhat regularly. I'll take milk thistle for 4 to 6 weeks with a break for a week or two. With chlorella I started off taking 1/2 a teaspoon a day, working up to a full tea spoon in about a weeks time. Occasionally taking days off. Maca root I use almost daily to every other day, usually only 1/2 to 1 teaspoon.
Throw turmeric and ginger into the mix as well, they'll do nothing but good .
I have some more suggestions I might throw out there when I'm not so high....
