I downloaded Adobe Photoshop, unzipped the files, and I'm left with a folder that looks like
When I click setup, it does nothing...
What gives? Am I missing something?

You may have to try again from a different source. I've gotten my share of bad downloads.

What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. Could be a application killing feature of an anti-virus program, but he's right, there are always bad downloads.

you probably downloaded a virus or something else malicious.
i wouldn't trust anything on kazaa, who knows what the hell it really is.
you could try installing photoshop from the original cd-rom, or find a friend with the cd that'd be willing to lend you a copy, for back-up purposes of course..

I reckon you've downloaded a dud - Did you get a serial number with it as well?
For applications I'd recommend IMesh instead of Kazaa - though make sure you're using the clean/adware free version from www.zeropaid.com.

Kazaa Lite is pretty damned good. Regular Kazaa sucks ass, though.

You can use the 30 day demo awhile http://www.tucows.com/preview/214261.html
Also, try the freeware stuff at "http://www.tucows.com/imgedit95_default.html" it might do what you want.

The Gimp is a pretty useful replacement for Photoshop, if you don't mind the differing interfaces. Also, it's only a 10 meg download including the Win32 GTK stuff. It may not be as complete and professional as Adobe, but it's free and relatively powerful.

Yep, it's available but it spawns one window/task for each tool just like in nerdix, which is incredibly ugly clutter in the Windows taskbar.. they should make the interface better but I don't think anybody is going to bother, as OSS developers don't usually get paid.
