Pins have white stuff growing on stem!!! ahhhh

Fruiting conditions: 73 degrees, 99% RH (could be max, i dunno if my meter goes over 99)....i am using 2 inches of perlite with water added 2 days ago.
As from the pic, a few mushies are growing of my AFOAF's cake, but at the stem there is this white material that is very white, fuzzy, and kinda squishy feeling. WHAT IS THIS? will it affect things, i have a feeling my RH is too high, how do i lower this? I have saran wrap on the top of my terrarium to let light in.......should i poke holes in this to get rid of humidity or what?
Someone ID this white stuff

Your feelings are right. lower it or fan a lot more, which you should be doing anyway at this point. yeah, poke holes in your saran wrap. Also notice the browning of the stems, another indication of high rH.

That's just mycelium. Very normal and nothing to worry about.

You cannot have too much humidity with cakes. Read this.

so soochi says this humidity is too high, and the rest of u say that white shit is ok to have....i just felt the cake compared with the growth and they feel identical.
the link dog posted said RH 95-100, so how the hell did i get too high of humidity in there?!?!??! how do i drop humidity? i fan about 5 times a day, should i do so even more, seems a bit excessive. will putting holes in saran wrap lower it at all?
still confused here

The white shit is a result of the high rH. I've never grown using 95-100% humidity, this almost always leads to aborts, rotting, cauliflower, contams, etc. Humidity can be too high, in your case it sounds as if it is. yes puncture holes in your plastic wrap (or get a sterilite tub to use as a terrarium-recommended) hold off on misting and fan as scheduled.

If you've never grown at 95-100% humidity then how do you know? Do you have a link or reference that states that too much humidty is detrimental to fruiting cakes?

No, but when my hygrometer read 90 I was already having trouble. I'm sure there are people out there that can atess to the detrimental effects of too high humidity.

i have a rubbermaid tub as my terrarium soochi, i just have plastic wrap on the top where i cut a whole to let light in from the top......
i punctured about 16 little holes in the thing, but im pretty sure the RH isn't going to go down just like this........there has to be a way to lower it
how do you get yours around 90%?

remove some of the perlite. (I'm thinkin' you have a lot in there?)
in a terrarium there shouldn't be condensation on the top of it, only around the sides at the most. I understand you have a slightly different setup, it should work though, just make sure it isn't raining in your tub.

well its a 63 liter rubbermaid tub, so i figured it was big and i needed to dump a whole lot of perlite in it
i could remove a lot of the perlite, but i fear i will contam the cakes while they sit out and watch.....if i just leave the setup as is and fan 5 times a day, would things go drastically wrong with those pins?

well, the perlite will dry up eventually, but I'm not sure how long that will take and if the current conditions will cause aborts and such. Fan. A lot.
